I need honeymoon input from anyone who has been to Maui. We are looking at staying at the Grand Wailea, Four Seasons and the Fairmont Kea Lani. Has anyone stayed at these resorts? Please please please tell me everything and anything about why you would pick one over the other.

We stayed at the Kea Lani hotel once. It was gorgeous!
It’s been a looooong time though. I was a kid. But it was so pretty, the food was delicious, etc. The black sand beaches are incredible.

Hi! We’re going to Maui also! The Grand Wailea is supposed to be absolutely amazing. It is a Waldorf Astoria property after all!! 🙂 We’re staying there for a couple nights on my FI’s dad’s Hilton points. It’s pretty crazy expensive, but from what I’ve read and seen it looks like it’s worth it!! Not sure about the Fairmont, but I think I’ve read pretty good things about that as well. GL!

We are going to Maui in August and just booked the Four Seasons. While the prices will make your head spin, everyone who stayed there (regardless of if they had a mountainview room or an ocean suite) said the service was exceptional. They have the largest rooms on the island (each room has a minimum of 600 sq ft), and they do not charge for additional features, such as snorkeling lessons and equipment, cabanas at the pool and beach, kayaks, fitness center, etc.
I would be really ticked if I booked another hotel, wanted to use all those things, and my daily rate shot up to what I would have spent to stay at Four Seasons. Plus, they are doing a stay 4, get the 5th night free!!!
I am sure no matter where you book you will love Maui. We are so excited and just decided to go all out at the FS since it is our honeymoon!
