I was never someone who wanted a large wedding. I get social anxiety and it’s just not for me. I mean, I do really enjoy being around people… I work with people every day (I’m a nurse and also an office manager) but the idea of a huge celebration..all eyes on me.. no thank you! So, I think I have gone back and forth..changed the date a million times… and I have finally decided on Maui. I am from Hawaii so it will not be a destination for most of my family (though they will have to fly in from other islands but that’s NBD)
(The bottom pictures): I am hoping to get married at my Aunt’s house in the Maui mountains, overlooking the coastline. She loves me and I know she would be happy to have me get married there..but I really don’t want to “overstay my welcome” so I will only have the ceremony here if less than 25 people come (which is very feasible)
(The top 3 pictures) Grand Wailea, which is where my family will stay and we will have the reception dinner (probably) Unless I can find somewhere as awesome but cheaper. We LOVE the Grand Wailea. It is gorg but very expensive.
Fiance and I love Maui so much.. and it seems like the perfect place to get married! We are looking at early next year, 02/2013.
Anyone get married on Maui and had a great reception dinner for less than 30 people?
Option to suggestions..
I can’t wait.
