I can’t believe that it is only one year until our wedding! It seems like it was only yesterday that it was January and he proposed. Now we have a venue, DJ, photographer and my wedding dress, and a list of to-dos. I am so excited to be marrying my best friend, fellow geek, and master of hilarious one-liners. I am looking forward to the next year- I’m sure it will be a rollercoaster!

I’m May 21, but still consider the 1st of May to mean I have one year to go! Lol! I think the next year is going to go by super fast 🙂
What have you planned so far?

So far, we picked a ceremony and reception venue (a hotel), a DJ and photographer. We both chose our wedding party. I ordered my dress and picked colors for the bridesmaid dresses. We are going to DIY our centerpieces and invites. Next on our list is to start hunting down addresses for our invite list and figure out what to do for our save the date cards. Feels like there is so much left to do!
What have you planned so far, @OttowaBride2011? Are you excited yet?

I’ve done a lot of the same stuff you have! We booked a reception venue (a restaurant), a church, our photographer, and I have my dress! I’ve chosen my party, but Fiance hasn’t (weird situation – he’s in a sort of friend transition time and wants to wait it out).
We’re also DIY-ing our centerpieces (my mom is anyways lol). We’re thinking of getting invites at Michael’s since neither of us is particularly crafty. We’re also thinking of having an ipod wedding since neither of us is super into dancing!
Right now we’re taking a bit of a planning break, but soon we’re doing our engagement photos and thinking about Save the Dates. I’d like to send them out in Sept/Oct. When are you thinking of sending them?

I was thinking of sending out our save the dates in August, just because September is a really busy time of year for me at work. Not sure, though. We just took a month break from planning after booking the big vendors, so we are going to start working on a few things, like save the dates. And we need to look for a officiant. What is the part of planning that you are most looking forward to?

In the past month, I have basically planned 90% of my wedding and now I feel like TIME HAS STOPPED!
Luckily, my semester will start in a couple of weeks and then I’ll have something else to focus on. Until then, I feel very excited and CANNOT wait until my wedding day, though we all have about 9 months to wait!
Anyone else feel this way?
