Hi may ladies! I hope you are doing ok. I am really starting to freak out. I planned most of my wedding on my own and do not have a supportive family. I am wondering how everyone is keeping calm or trying to. Hope your planning is going well!

I’m an October bride so not May but I understand the stress and nerves combined with an unsupportive family. Just try to take a deep breath and make a list. Lists help me to compartmentalize and sort out what needs to be handled and what I’m over reacting about. And my entire wedding is a DIY venture on a very tight budget. The hardest part for me is not having my parents to talk to because they don’t approve. Feel free to take a break every now and then To get a fresh start.

I’m a May 24th bride and am definitely starting to have days where I’m feeling it! I totally second FutureMrsLarson – taking a break and starting fresh the next day is a really good idea whenever you can. Once I feel overwhelmed, I know I just sit there going round in circles and not really achieving anything, so I’d much rather take the time off and have a break 🙂
I’ve also found it comforting to realise that enough has been done already for us to have a successful wedding – i.e. we have the celebrant, attire, guests invited, and food and booze sorted – enough for an awesome party. If I don’t get the final minute details of the decorations sorted, noone would even know!

All will turn out fine! I promise! I got married on May 16th last year so I had to stop in and say congrats (in advance!) Enjoy the heck out of that day, youre getting married!!!

I am defintely freaking out too! I think the thing that helps me the most is knowing that all of the big things are taken care of and if those small things we worry about so much don’t get done, it’s not the end of the world like we imagine in our heads! You will be alright girly! Breathe, take a day to just relax, and then get back into wedding mode. It will help!
