🙁 wow… now I feel horribly behind.  I only have the church (still need to do premarital counseling), the hall, the caterer (need to meet for menu), the DJ, photogrpaher, and my attire.

I’m May 5th- so ALMOST May 4th, but here’s what we have done so far

  • Deposit on Reception site
  • Ceremony Venue payed in full
  • Officiant. payed half
  • photographer, payed half
  • All Bridal Attire bought and paid in full
  • Bridesmads dresses picked and ordered
  • Picked flowers (from fiftyflowers), will order in Feb.
  • Have centerpieces done (simple real touch callas floating in water with river rocks
  • Have cake table decorations
  • Picked baker and will order in March ( 2 months is the earliest you can order for ‘standard’ non wedding cakes. We’re ordering 3 different sizes of our favorite cake in white, and bought a floating tier cake stand
  • Cake topper bought! Etsy<3
  • Sent out STD’s
  • Ordered supplies for invites
  • Invite proof printed
  • Ordered favors (cookie bites from a local bakery)

Whew! I didn’t realize how much I had done until I wrote it down!

@MissFireFlower:  I love river rocks and my good friend just had calla lilies as her sole flower in her wedding.  It was so elegant and pretty.

  • Ceremony booked
  • Officiant booked, 1/2 paid
  • Flowers booked
  • Reception booked, deposit
  • Ceremony music booked (my brother!)
  • Photographer booked
  • Dress bought, will do the fitting in March
  • Shoes bought today!
  • Hair trial done, day-of booked
  • Cake ordered, 1/2 paid
  • Save-The-Date Cards sent
  • Chose favors (trees from the Arbor Day Foundation)
  • Hotel reserved
  • Purchased bridesmaid gifts

Still need to

  • Buy the wedding rings
  • Finalize menu
  • Figure out invitations!
  • Sign with the band (jazz trio) for the reception
  • Paint my cake topper
  • Buy bud vases to supply to the florist (cheaper this way)
  • Seating chart/cards

Awesome. I feel like I’ve actually got so much done!

@GlynnBugg13:  I know– May 4 is coming faster than anticipated 🙂 You certainly had more done than me earlier than me. I know what invitation I want, but I have to order it yet. I have to schedule cake tasting (I’d just order red velvet and call it a day, but I’m sharing the wedding day with some very picky palates) and I have to visit the florist. I’m just dragging my behind on these things, for no particular reason other than sheer laziness! I just want to skip the wedding day altogether and get on with life! Get back to the times when my fiance and I HAD the time to just go hiking or travelling or rollerblading. I’m so tired of feeding this greedy and unsatiable beast known as the wedding industry!
