Cool, thanks!  Think we will make it to part 5 before D Day(s)?  I think so!

@LAGS – I just can’t believe how rude people are?!  Seriously?  No one has made rude comments behind my back yet, that I know of at least!

@cvbee – Ugh, have you spoken w/ your doctor again?  I wonder if there’s anything else that they can do.

@Goldilocks1107:  I definitely have “rant” days where I just KNOW I’m going to bitch someone out.  Usually happens after a poor night sleep.

Still trying to get over my weight gain and the fact that at least one pair of maternity pants are too tight in the butt.  But, the good new is I passed my GD test.  This weekend, we are moving the office out of the baby’s room…finally!  Next weekend crib, rocker, dresser getting delivered.  And, I may or may not have been registry stalking and someone(s) purchased my breast pump – wowsa!!!  I need to stop looking at the registry, I do like surprises ; )

@kiddosc:  Boo mine was lost too!

@winniewolf:  Great news about your results! How awesome that someone bought your breast pump, I’d be so excited!

Thanks for all the sharing the success stories about c-sections.  I know intellectually it will be fine either way, I just need to get prepared for anything.   Happy I have some time to take it all in.

@Pastmoo:  Yes, 49th percentile is great.  I meant that I was looking a little small so that is why my doctor ordered the scan, but she is very pleased with the results.  She told me that even though she has seen thousands of pregnant women, they all carry differently so a woman who looks to be carrying small is not necessarily carrying a small baby, but she likes to make sure.

@LAGS and Winniewolf:  Yes, I still have three to four weeks to see if she turns and stays head down before my doctor will start talking to us about delivery options.  Although she feels that by 36 weeks, it may still be possible for baby to turn, but most likely they are out of room.

@cvbee:  As for spinning babies and other techniques like that, my doctor feels like it could do more harm than good.  She feels like the baby is not moving because it is is either really comfortable and happy where it is or there could be a problem that they don’t know about such as a short cord, a cord wrapped around the baby (either neck or extremity), etc.  That is just her opinion why trying to turn the baby on your own is not a great idea.  She might try inversion under ultrasound guidance.  I know these other techniques have worked for a lot of people so I am mixed about trying them, but I am going to hold off for now.

@goldilocks: thanks for keeping on top of starting new threads!  Also wanted to add that the book Baby Bargains 411 has some great tips for babyproofing on the cheap.  For example, home depot sells padded pipe insulation that works just as well as the stuff they sell at baby stores and is much cheaper.  They had lots of great tips on there about which outlet covers work best which stairway gates are best. You can always just read that section in the book store if you don’t want to buy the book.  Also, Hellobee had a great post the other day about babyproofing with some helpful tips from moms in the comment section.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

@winniewolf:  My clothes are getting tight, too. ๐Ÿ™ Sigh! I DO NOT want to shop for big whale lady clothes right now.

And HAH–I used to stalk my wedding registry. Nothing to do for baby registry. I almost wish we were having a shower because money is getting tight due to the accident etc. Sigh.

Glad you got the pump–so cool!

@Goldilocks1107:  Thanks!

@shortcake15:  Oohhhhh. That makes more sense!

@winniewolf:  I went into the clinic today and told them that the Dr. at the hospital told me to update my OB right away, rather than waiting until my appointment next Thursday.  She said that there were no appointments available until next Thursday so I couldn’t see him.  So I asked if I could write him a note, which I did.  I just told him what has been up and said ‘see you Thursday’.  I was kindof hoping that he would call me to check in anyways but he didn’t.  Oh well.

@Goldilocks1107:  thanks for starting this thread, as I did write a quick reply to your last post which is not showing.  Funny thing: I checked the last page of part 3 and then I pushed ‘back’ and assumed I was on the part 4 page and started reading all the posts from a month ago as if they were written today.

@winniewolf:  nice! which breast pump did you register for? I stalk my baby registries daily.  So far people have bought: the crib matress cover, one glass bottle, the mesh thingy that goes over the stroller/carrier to give baby SPF (and keep the bugs off), and cloth wipes.  I’d love for people to start buying the cloth diapers.

@shortcake15:  That is super interesting about why the doc does not recommend trying to turn the baby on your own—totally makes sense, like, things are the way they are for a reason.  How smart.

Well, I was supposed to go in for an NST today, but when I called I was told LDR was swamped. I work 3 nights this weekend, so I will just get the girls to run the NST when I am at work tonight (that way they can just call me down sometime overnight when they aren’t busy). I am sure the NST will be fine, as baby has been super active!

It is weird feeling that any run of shifts could be the last for me. I work 3 nights over the weekend, and then I have the growth check on Monday, and a re-check tuesday where we will re-evaluate my working!

My sugars are still awesome, but BP’s are slowly getting higher, I have had to take all my labetelol doses (every 12 hours), when before I was taking them only every 36 hours because my Bridal Party was too low to take it every 12.

I can’t believe I am already 33 weeks tomorrow! Time is just flying by now. I booked my Mat photos for April 3rd, when I am 36 weeks. I look forward to getting those done, I am even going to book to get my hair and makeup done that morning.

@kiddosc: You look great at 31 weeks! Totally all belly!

@Goldilocks1107: I have definitely woken up with rage brewing inside me! It happened once when I was heading into work for a night shift, and I had to warn my co-workers I was in a bad mood just in case.

@LAGS: I am excited, my last US was at 24 weeks because they missed a couple things at the 20 week ultrasound. This is actually a growth scan, cord flow checking, and a BPP (which takes about half an hour, so I will get to see a lot of baby on Monday!

@winniewolf: Congrats on passing the GD screen! Good luck with getting the baby room cleaned out. I think I will be doing that next weekend if all goes well (SO EXCITED).

@shortcake15:  I hope your baby turns on its own, but I wouldn’t try to flip my baby without ultrasound guidance either. Cord accidents scare me like crazy (I could share stories but won’t, because it is one of those things that is good to be blissfully unaware of).

@winniewolf:  Before my shower, I looked at my registry too! I totally shouldn’t have, but for some reason I couldn’t help myself! I knew what I was getting before the shower! ๐Ÿ™ I will try to be good for the next shower.

@Ms Mini:  Bummer about the high Bridal Party. I am taking Atenalol 2x a day for mine. How has yours been up to the past couple days? Yesterday mine was 150/87, and that’s WITH the meds! Eek!!!

My Dad is visiting this weekend and I showed him the cloth diapers, and he was super impressed with the ‘modern’ diapers. ๐Ÿ™‚ Fun to have my Dad excited about cloth diapers.

Had my NST done at work last night, and LO did not stop moving for the entire 1/2 an hour! He/she kept trying to bum check the contraction monitor right off of my belly! It was a pretty boring way to spend a 1/2 an hour though, I almost fell asleep!

@MissDareDevil:  I have been about 125/85 at home, but last night during my NST (I got the NST done while I was at work) it was up to 138/90 with the labetelol having been taken. I am hoping it doesn’t continue to creep up over the next 2 nights.

@cvbee:  That is fun! My Mom was super impressed by morden cloth diapers as well (they cloth diapered all 3 of us).

@cvbee:  Erg, doctor’s offices can be so frustrating! (I work in one, so I see it from both sides). If they don’t call they must be sure you’re ok. I hope you’re feeling better!

And, how cute about your dad getting excited about the diapers–they ARE cute and modern!

@Ms Mini:  eee 33 weeks! I can’t wait to see your maternity photos. As much as we LOVE getting our photos taking, I am not ready to take real maternity photos.

LOL. My LO likes to punch the monitor, too.

My husband and I went on the hospital tour this morning. I came so close to crying during the tour several times. Once we got in the car, I burst into tears. I hated every bit of what I saw.

I’ve already been having my doubts about the hospital because if it’s rush hour, the drive will be at least an hour. Without traffic, it’s a 35 minute drive. The closer hospital to us is a 10-15 minute drive.

I chose this hospital, because it’s supposed to be one of the best in the nation. The closer I get to the due date, May 1st, everything is starting to matter that much more. The distance bothered me before, but it really set in when we drove there today how long of a haul it is. My husband suggested that we tour the hospital close to us before I start calling new ob’s to see if it is any better, so we will do that.
