@iammcdibble:  I will bookmark that one. We opted for Jamaica in May but it was a hard choice between Jamaica and Costa Rica. The all inclusives in Jamaica are great.

Since our son still has school right after our wedding, we will probably go up to Connecticut to a B&B for a couple of days.  We are going on our honeymoon in August. We are going on an 8 day to Antigua (FH parents are from here), St. Thomas, Bahamas and Tortola. I never cruised and I am really excited to go.

Our wedding gift from fiance’s parents is that they are letting us use a week of their timeshare in the Cayman Islands, and we can trade it for a week wherever we want to go, as long as it’s a resort also owned by the company. (I think that’s how it works)

Until recently I had never been out of the country, and even then I’ve only been to the Caribbean. Fiance used to be in two different choirs in high school and college that would sing all over the world, so he’s been to some really need places because of that (Germany, Greece, Qatar off the top of my head). We want to go somwhere neither of us has been, and I want to go to another continent since i’ve never been on the other side of either ocean. We are leaning towards Italy but aren’t sure which city/area. We are still unsure if we want a relaxing vacation doing lots of nothing, or doing lots of sightseeing.

We are going to the Secrets Maramo (I think that is what it is called, lol) But it is adult only and very beautiful!!!  Not that bad on the price either!

Has anyone had to choose based on the climate?  We wanted to do South America for a month but since its winter in most places we decided to go with Europe… backpacking for a month!!! with just an arrival/departure flight and wing it from there.  We’ve both spent a bunch of time there but we’re going to try to show each other our favourite places and discover less-travelled countries. SO EXCITED

@nycsa:  That was our toss up too – Couples Negril in Jamaica or Westin Golf and Spa Resort in Costa Rica, we are honeymooning in end of April for 2 weeks.  We chose Couples Negril because we’ve been there and LOVE it.

Just saw this thread. We are going to Key West for a week the day after our wedding. We booked I cottage for the week, and according to Fiance we aren’t doing anything but sleeping, reading, eating and adult activities. I can’t wait!

We are spending 9 days in Maui for our honeymoon then flying directly to St. Thomas for 4 for a good friend’s wedding. We were also undecided and are not “lay on the beach for 10 days” people, but Maui offers amazing beaches and tons of activities so we thought it was the best of both worlds.

For any bees going to Jamaica, I hope you booked Sandals Whitehouse because we were there this past November and will DEFINITELY be returning. We loved Jamaica, but especially Whitehouse!
