Since we’re getting married on a holiday weekend and out of state, ours are going out on April 1st. Our RSVP deadline date is May 1st.

For normal situations, I think 4 weeks prior is pretty acceptable.

The majority of our guests are from Out of Town so I’m planning on mailing my first batch in the next two weeks. I’m in less of a rush to get the invites out to the locals, those will probably go out 8 weeks prior.

My wedding is Sunday before Memorial Day and most of my guest are from out of town so I am being safe and mailing them March 7th and RSVP due by April 7th. If you don’t know 1 month and 23 days before the wedding if you are going to book a flight, hotel, rental, or where you’re spending your Holiday weekend chances are you aren’t coming anyway!

I know it’s early but I don’t want to pay for chairs and plates we won’t fill this way it gives people time to get $ together than remembering about the wedding when it’s too late.

I’m mailing mine by Feb 28 with a RSVP date of May 7 for my May 28 wedding. Most of my guestlist will be traveling so I want to give everyone plenty of time.

Wow I would never be able to cut it that close, I’m requiring my guests rsvp a month beforehand! We want to send them out at the end of February the latest and rsvp by April 8th. But we’re planning from across the country so I really don’t want to have to worry about anything in the two weeks before the wedding, definitely not rsvps!

We’re going to mail the invitations in two batches, mostly because I’m being selfish and don’t want to miss out on the experience.  For our OTT guests Fiance is mailing the invites in late February with our RSVP April 29th.  I will be back in the states around the second to last (sorry for the ambiguity) week of March and will be mailing all of our local invitations ASAP, with a RSVP of April 29th. 🙂  I promise the local guests will have at least 4 weeks.

Our invitations are printed!!  Our designer is shipping them to us today, and than the Fiance will have to stuff them and mail them!  I’m so excited, and a bit sad.  I feel like I’m missing a very big part of the wedding planning experience.
