I am feeling a little bit stressed. Starting to have some wedding related dreams haha. In the next couple of weeks I want to:
1) finish invites (I’m DIYing the pocketfolds and hand-addressing the envelopes) including ordering stamps (the wedding related one with the new higher 70 cent charge doesn’t come out until 2/22). Can’t WAIT to get these puppies done.
2) Hair trial is this Wednesday! That will be fun
3) Start doing trials of my DIY makeup (especially eyes)
4) Start working on my version of The Packet (Mrs. Daffodil’s creation – http://www.weddingbee.com/2013/02/14/wedding-information-packet/)
5) start picking song choices for reception (BP walking out, Fiance and I walking out, cake cutting, etc)
6) call the organist and set up time to meet to pick songs for ceremony and hire a ceremony singer
7) putting together Bridesmaid or Best Man gifts (I’m giving them out prior to my shower beginning of March because they’re cute totes that say bridesmaid (along with jewelry and some goodies inside) and they can use them from now until the wedding
8) My first dress fitting is 2/22!
Off the top of my head that’s what I want to do this month – whew! The closer it gets the longer the list is!

This post just made me realize how close it REALLY is. Oh my goodness. I literally just finished my final guest list…I feel like I got so much checked off the list last summer, but I haven’t been getting anything done within the last few weeks. Yikes! When will you guys be sending out your invitations?
Hi! Can you fill me in on this new 70 cent stamp that is coming out? Where can I learn more about that? 🙂

I’m sending Out of Town invites 3/8 and local ones the following weekend (3/15 or so). Here is my post with links to the stamps: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/fyi-usps-says-new-wedding-stamp-70-cent-on-sale-210#axzz2t2S5u5wz
Basically you should get your invite weighed by the post office to make sure what postage you need. If it’s over 1 oz, you most likely will need the 70 cent stamp (up to 2 oz). They just raised the rates at the end of January so although forever stamps work for regular mail (under 1 oz), you have to get the special new stamps that are the correct postage, or buy 3 cent or 4 cent stamps to add to the old ones…..
hope that helps!

@myweddingbee: May 3rd marriage, and I am feeling pretty ‘good’ about it all. I think I am on par with my task list, etc. I think the hardest thing recently, for me, has been the fact that in 2.5 months I will be entering into a marriage!! I know it is right, and I am excited, but the HUGE deal that it is or will be is hitting home right now!!! Ahhhhhhhhh 🙂

How are you doing with the 80 something days left?!

May 17 here! I’ve been lacking motivation which is bad! But I’ll get back into it I hope!

First – Hello date twin!! I had to chuckle at #4. I just sent a rough draft out of her packet that I had made for my wedding. I’m going to do a talk with my photographer/d.j. to get things hammered out for the final version which I will send out in April.

Glad I’m not the only one. Every day at work I make a list of things I need to do and then I get home and become a Netflix zombie. This weekend it’s supposed to get into the 60s so hopefully that will motivate me to finish spray painting my arbor and get all the sign painting out of the way.

Jealous. It’s 23 here and going to dump snow on Thursday and Saturday. Waaah 🙁 I’d be more motivated if I didn’t have cabin fever, I think.

@myweddingbee: Guuuurl…I’m starting to FREAK out! We hit 3 months yesterday! I just made a list of things that need to be done:
Find necklaces for the BMs
Buy my FI’s ring
Tasting for the venue (this Friday!)
Design the cake (this Saturday!)
Confirm my hair/makeup inspiration and trial
Buy a guest book
Buy our wood monogram on Etsy.com
Buy presents for all invovled parties
Music for the DJ
Figure out what my friend is going to sing during the service
Probably have a MILLION more things to do, but those are top on my list….for now…

I am getting so excited!
Bachelorette trip is March 7-10. My goal is to get invitations sent out before I leave. My grandma is addressing them for me since she has beautiful penmanship. So, I just need to get them stuffed and ready to go.
I am waiting on a stamp I bought on etsy (A tree with our initials that says “love grows”) to DIY wild flower seed favors.
Need to get my girls a gift to go with their jewelry. I just can’t decide what to get
Groomsmen gifts need to be monogrammed
Finalize centerpiece concepts with the florist ( I probably should have done this months ago, but I live in CA now and the wedding is in TX)
Order our bands. We better get on this! At least we have them picked out.
I decided not to go through the headache of assigning table numbers. I will have reserve tables for family and bridal party…. is this a bad idea? Will I regret it?
I am sure there are plenty of other things I can’t think of right now, but I am so ready for iall the festivities to begin. I have had the whole thing planned since August.

Booking transportation – Fiance is in charge of that
Ordering his tux – Fiance is in charge
Engagement photo session (March or April)
Booking the violinist
Create music list
Ordering his wedding band
Tasks not needed for actual wedding day:
Booking our honeymoon but I don’t count that in my to do list, less to stress out about – we already know what we want to do and when, it’s just a matter of paying for it
Setting up our joint bachelor/bachelorette party
