With 16 days left before my wedding, I’m a basket case! Between my family, my fiance’s family and my ‘distant’ friends, I’m about to go crazy! My guest list is growing by the day, my DIY projects are far from over and I’m getting gray hair!
Every night, I stay up half the night trying to finalize 2 or 3 items on my list! As a self proclaimed procrastinator, I work better under pressure when I’m the only person involved! However, with recommendations and comments from my family, his family and my friends, I’m about to loose it! LOL!
Are there any other May brides going through this type of ‘Pre-Ceremony’ stress?

Oh, I’m so sorry that you are so stressed out!
I can totally relate. I’m having trouble sleeping. I can fall asleep, but a few hours later, I wake up. Sometimes, I’m nervous about forgetting something. But sometimes (like last night), I am just too excited to sleep!
When I’m stressed, I just try to focus on something calming. I think about the waves splashing on the beach on our honeymoon. Maybe some kind of meditation and deep breathing will help you?

Everytime I get stressed, I just try to think of the honeymoon. 🙂
Seriously, though, I taped a big piece of paper to the wall of the wedding room, wrote out all the to-dos on it. Crossing them off and seeing them accomplished makes me feel so much better.
I agree with the “I’ll Do It Myself” attitude. I’ve learned to just tune everyone out as they make suggestions – I planned this wedding, I know what I want. Even Fiance has figured that out, when he offered to help me and ended up re-tying 30 knots because they weren’t “on top” of the cardboard. Patient man.

I am definitely stressed out with 8 days to go! It seems like just yesterday we were saying May 2010 is so long from now! Now it’s here and I am a ball of nerves. I’m just trying to enjoy the ride because it will be over before I know it.

I’m sorry your stressed. Surprisingly, I’m not. I do feel like I’m on a permanent sugar high though…

Thanks, bees! I wish I could look forward to my honeymood. Unfortunately, we decided to hold off on our honeymoon until my birthday in November! My close friend is getting married in Oche Rios and I wanted to go to Jamaica for the honeymoon, so we decided to kill 3 birds with one stone! Thanks for the encouragement! And…. this is OUR month, pray all goes well for everyone!

I am stressed due to other things happening in my life, but I am actually excited. I’m 22 days away! Just breathe and take things one day at a time.

I’m not stressed about it… we’re sending our invites out this weekend. I know SUPER late but everyone knows about it thru FB invites. Plus we can invite unlimited number of guests cause our venue has unlimited seating & won’t cost us any more. If it did, I’d probably be stressin a little cause FI’s parents keep inviting EVERYONE they know so yea we’ll have TONS of people there!!

I am definitely stressed! But I think part of it is because I have 3 finals to take next week and the wedding is in 21 days…and I don’t really have much time to get back to wedding stuff until these dang finals are out of the way. I keep forgetting that the honeymoon is going to be awesome and relaxing…all I see right now is school…and many long hours of studying. Meh. We’re almost there though! I consider wedding stress fun stress compared to finishing school. Hah.

I have a week and I’m not nervous at all, but more overwhelmed with so many things left to do.

I’m not nervous, I’m just not sleeping. I’m having the same issue as ceb310s where I can go to sleep but then I’m right back awake a few hours later with million things on my mind. I keep telling myself, 6 more days and the planning & preparation can stop and I can just get married 🙂

Am I stressed? One word: YES.
Mostly anxious about paying all the vendors this week and next week though, ugggh. Oh and the slackers who haven’t RSVPed yet. How can I make seating charts if people don’t RSVP? Grrrrrr.
I also keep obsessing over all the food I’m going to eat on the honeymoon/when the wedding diet is over 😉

@johnitta – sorry that you are stressed! Hopefully things are falling into place a bit more now. We are in the same boat – taking our honeymoon trip in October. Are you guys taking any kind of mini-moon? Even just a day or two would help de-stress after the big day!
@peaches – LOL! I can’t wait to eat yummy food and not count the stupid calories! I told this my Fiance last night as he asked me YET AGAIN if I wanted any of the cookies he just baked! I can’t wait to be off this diet!

Yes, I am SUPER stressed out. Yesterday I printed the rehearsal dinner invites with the wrong date on them! I still have to make favors, find one more bridesmaid necklace, and make the seating chart. Those are the major things, and I probably have a million little things left to do.
