I’ve been doing a low carg diet. I go to the gym 4 days a week( 1 hour cardio and 45 min on weights for toning), I lost about 25 lbs, but I fell off during the holidays , just trying to get focused. Would like to lose about 20 more pounds.
Pray for me!!!!!!

I am also using myfitnesspal, counting calories and trying to work out (I hate it!) I have been losing 1lbs a week and hope to be down to 125-130 from 147 (was 153 in Dec! 17+ lbs to go and tone up my flabby arms.
I have been eating a lot of pre-made salads form Trader Joe’s, lean meats, veggies and fruit and cut out caffiene besides a weekly Diet Coke and have 1 “cheat day,” where I consume roughly 1800 cals, instead of the 1200-1400 I normally do. Planning meals and work out times really helps me as well as drinking 6-8 glasses of water and managing work stress better.

@yvettej: Yay! You’ve accomplished so much already!!
I’ve been dieting for the past 3 months but, only this weekend, have I started to workout again. Boy am I paying for slacking these past 5 months….Ouch. Ouch. Ouch.
I’m trying to tone my arms and tummy, without getting too puffy. Working out always makes me soooo hungry. I’ll be doing a lot of jump rope and light weights or Jilian Michael’s 20 minute workouts.

I’ve cut out all wheat products, most processed products, upped my veggies, reduced my dairy, work out 5 days a week and am down 5 pounds (118 to 113!!). The definition in my arms looks great, my waist has slimmed, but my hips don’t seem to be doing much.
I cut out wheat two weeks ago and that is when I lost the 5 pounds. A lot of the fat in my abdomen has been diminishing but I can’t seem to shake the hips.
2 more months to drop it!

I cut out wheat too! I feel a lot better without it and I lose weight faster. Really hoping it helps with the psoriosis on my ankles too. That’s not something I want showing up in wedding photos when i’m showing off my shoes! Hoping to be down to 120 by the wedding…I think 14 lbs. in a little over 2 mos. is doable. Especially if I go running now that the weather is getting nicer.

I started last June and have lost 25 lbs as of yesterday! That’s great, but I’m still pretty far from my goal weight. From the get-go, I’ve wanted it to be sustainable. I started working out 3 days a week and watching my calories.
Then at the beginning of this year, I started working out 6 days a week, half are xbox nike fit, and the other half is Curves.
I recently took out alcohol and sweets. And it’s definitely having a good effect.
I feel like whatever I get to will be okay, even if it’s not my utlimate goal. I already am so much healthier.
Any advice for arm toning though? That’s the one I’m most insecure about. Thanks!

Blah eating lots of salads!!
Usually I love going to the gym and walking, but I had surgery in January and it’s taking way longer to get back to normal than I thought 🙁 it’s been 8 weeks, ugh!! Since the elliptical/going for a 5 mile walk isn’t an option at the moment, I’m just trying to focus on eating right.
…of course this past weekend we had our first shower so it was a total carb fest!

So…I’m still working out and eating right. I hit a plateau last month, but now it looks like to pounds are slowly coming off. Myfitnesspal and Jillian Michaels are really helping.
