Depends if you are ordering something or buying a simple (no alterations required) or off the rack dress… if it has to be ordered i’d get on it and let them know your timeline.  I ordered mine in July and it still isn’t here – then there’s all the alterations…

I would get to looking.  I wouldn’t say it would be impossible to find a dress that would be in by then, but I do think your wedding date should be the first thing you tell the dress shop so they are aware.  Most dress shops were pretty good when it came to knowing my timeline.  Just as reference, my wedding date is the day after yours and I ordered my dress in September.  At the time, every shop I went to said I had plenty of time, so two months later, you may be ok.  My advice would be to get shopping!!

I just ordered my dress and was told it would be here in March, so I think you’re OK.  I would probably be getting it this month or next month though.  Good luck!

I would def start looking!! especially if it has to be ordered. Mine took almost 4 months to come in! But if your buying off the rack, you might be okay. Better be safe them sorry. START LOOKING LIKE YESTERDAY!!! good luck!

@HopingtobeeMrsV:  Yes, ma’am, get to looking!  I think it really depends on what type of dress you’re going to get…ordering will take time to arrive and then have altered.  I ordered my dress in mid-June and it was slated to arrive later this month but did arrive over a month early.  Getting an off-the-rack dress will be fast (if you find The One) and get it altered, if needed.  I don’t think I would wait any longer.

I would just go. There’s nothing wrong with going alone, I did. And it was awesome. No one to sway my opinions. I found a dress I loved and then started showing my friends.

I haven’t bought one either.  We will go look at them next week, but I really don’t want to buy anything until January.

@HopingtobeeMrsV:  my dress took 6 months to come in. I would say you should start look soon. with there only being 6 months left you might have to pay a rush fee so that you will be able to have time to get it altered to you.  Good luck!!

I ordered in August and it’s expected to arrive in January.  If you’re getting one from David’s.. I know their’s don’t typically take as long.

I would start shopping as soon as humanly possible. Most places where I went to try on dresses told me it would take 4-7 months to get a dress in. And even once it’s in, you have to allow time for alterations.

Good luck!

I ordered my dress from Mori Lee about 2 or 3 weeks ago. They told me that it would come in during the middle of March. I would start looking now. It took me a couple of months of looking every once in a while before i found “the dress”.

I ordered mine about a month ago and they said it would be in around February and then I would need a few weeks for alterations. I would definitely start looking now!
