We still haven’t decided. :-/ We don’t have the biggest budget, he wants Mexico, I really want to go to New Orleans. I’m not really a “lounge on the beach”-type person.

We’re leaving for Australia/NZ May 1– it’s late fall there, so we’re hoping it won’t be too chilly.

were doing something “untraditional,” if you will….

neither FH or myself like wasting time laying on a beach. nor do we want to spend a couple grand just to do so.

that being said, we are both lovers of water falls.

(and i LOVE to photograph)

so, we are doing a “waterfalls of new england” mini road trip. a week of driving throughout new england and visiting/ hiking to different waterfalls.

theres a website i found that tells you the ratings (on a scale of 1-5), whether u can swim at it or not, and other neat little information.

among the stops will be niagra falls (the canada side)

im pretty excited!

I’m getting married at the end of April, I hope it’s okay I comment Laughing. We haven’t planned anything yet but I was wondering if any one was thinking about going to Destination Wedding in Fl. or if they know anyone who has gone. We’re a fun couple and think this would be a fun honeymoon. Is it worth all the money to go there?

We haven’t decided as we won’t have money to pay for one till the new year.  We have narrowed it down to a couple ideas, either a cruise, all-inclusive resort, or a road trip.  Now that I’ve got most of the wedding stuff done, I’m planning on spending time pricing out the different options.  I’m hoping to have it figured out by Christmas time so I can keep any eye out for the best deal once we have the money for it.

We just booked our trip today–going to the Cancun area and staying at two all inclusives for a total of 10 days 🙂  First we’re staying at a swim-up room at Excellence Playa Mujeres for 5 days, then going to Iberostar Grand and staying in a suite for another 5 days.  A family member recommended her travel agent, and we booked airfare/taxi/rooms together for $5200.  May is supposed to be a good time to go to Mexico; it’s after spring break but before hurricane season.  So excited!

We’re still trying to decide where we want to go, but currently South Africa or Petra are the top contenders… we want to go do something active/dusty the first half and then relax somewhere nice the second.

We’re doing Italy, Slovenia (Lake Bled for two nights en route to Croatia), and Croatia.  I’m SO excited I can’t stand it!  I’ve attached a picture of Lake Bled because people keep looking at us like we’re crazy for going there as they’ve never heard of it.  Seriously one of the most beautiful places ever.
