I accidentally lost a lot of weight before the wedding and basically needed my dress to be disassembled and reassembled 3 days prior. This alteration cost $300.

I imagine yours would cost less than that.

I’ve always heard it is best to buy the dress there but take it elsewhere for alterations!  Alterations is where they make their big bucks!!

I had the sides taken in, had it shortened (just to my height not to a tea length), and had a bustle added and it was $260

I would definitely take it somewhere else for alterations! I  think it’s how DB makes a lot of their money by over charging for their alteration services. I had my big beaded ball gown hemmed, taken in on the sides and bustled all for under 100 dollars, from a private seamstress. Don’t let them jip you!!

Mine were $225.  My dress was taken in, hemmed & bustled.

They didn’t charge me a dime. Had it shortened and clasps fixed. They fixed it right there in front of me.

As a bridesmaid, my alterations were $100. Just throwin’ it out there.
