I’m currently looking at tension-set rings from Boone Titanium Rings. The fact that the stone just “floats” there used to make me nervous, but I’m starting to fall in love with them. Do any bees here have tension-set rings, and if so, have you had problems with them?
Also, if you have one, post pretty pictures please.

I have no idea what that is, but I’d be interested to see what one looks like!

I know I’ve seen a few here, and they were cool!

I love that ring! It’s beautiful at every angle!
Tension rings are rings that hold a stone with pressure instead of prongs/etc.

Wow!! That is SO cool. I’ve never seen anything like it!

i like tension set too but they can’t put in as large a stone (that is what the jeweler told me) so we opted not to get it.
they are beautiful though

I love tension set rings!!! But when I went to look at them the jeweler told me they couldn’t make them in my size (3.5) 🙁 I did a lot of research on them though, and they seem to be safe (diamond won’t fall out). Good luck!

Really? I’ve never heard of a finger being too small for a tension ring… I’m a size 4, so that’s good to know. I’ll have to look into that more I guess. :-/

I sort of do. On my appraisal it says “semi bezel” but it’s kind of a hybrid between a bezel and a tension. My plain wedding band is designed to sort of rise up and swoop around the cut out so it dosen’t block the bottom of the diamond. Its like a keyhole.
