@RubyCali:  We hit all the famous stops…Louvre, Arc, Notre Dame, couldn’t get into the Eiffel Tower.  Tickets are sold out until the end of June.  We are definitely gonna go back.  It’s like a 4.5 hour drive for us.  Plus it rained.  Friday was light rain and it was incredibly romantic but Saturday night it POURED and we both got soaked.  I love running around in the rain though so no biggie…

@iRun2004:  FX for your BFP!  I can’t even begin to think about “symptoms” b/c some months I get them and others I don’t.  Are you gonna tell your parents this weekend if you are?

@ostrich:  Wow, you spot before AF?  I’ve never had that one before.  But I do always know the day before AF, I just wanna take a nap b/c I’m so tired.  I’ve gotten sore and swollen boobs every single stinking month since I went off BCPs 9 years ago.

@texasbee:  Thanks! I don’t think I would tell my parents that quickly. I know there can be so many problems in the early weeks.  Plus it’s not fair to tell my parents but not DH’s – and his parents have been waiting for this for SO LONG (DH is older) that I can’t stand the idea of getting their hopes up and then having an issue.

Thank you all for your sweet words and condolences regarding my friend.  It means a lot.

@RubyCali:  To answer your questions, I’m doing OK–there have been several stressful things going on lately and, of course, my friend’s passing is just sad. I  am  so heartbroken for her parents who feel more like an aunt and uncle than just family friends.  As for POAS, I guess my test date would be this Saturday, but I’ll be out of town at the memorial service.  So far, I haven’t POAS before AF and I’m trying to stick with that (I’ve only POAS twice and both were at random times “just to double check.”)  I can’t handle double or more disappointments. AF is disappointment enough!  I have a feeling she’s on her way though.  I’m having a little bit of cramping and feel bloated which are typical PMS symptoms for me.

@DiamondsandLace:  Ugh–so sorry about AF!  That is wonderful you’ll be able to sip champagne on your anniversary though!  Each month when AF comes, I just try and think of the perks of not being pregnant yet.

@RubyCali:  Haha what an interesting and healthy way to look at it (being so busy at work that the TWW is your sanity). I LOVE that. I will try to think that way too 😉

Here’s what I’ve been doing:

  • I’ve been spending a lot of time with my friends, as much as possible.
  • Trying to focus on work.
  • I have been spending a boat load of time on Pinterest for my best friend’s wedding, I’m Maid/Matron of Honor so I’m dress shopping for my dress and their dresses and sending her stuff. I’d say like 80% of my mental real estate is going to her (well I’m trying to force it to go to her lol).
  • I took that silly fertility quiz (have you taken that??) and am making a plan around those recommendations. This month I started taking CoQ10 and a B complex. If it doesn’t work, I will add one more supplement every month we don’t succeed based on the recommendations of that and my family doc starting at the beginning of each cycle. So that’s been kinda time consuming.
  • I also have been trying to exercise more and in different ways than I ever have.  I have been doing Insanity (which is AWESOME!) and running/doing crunches every day. I’ve been doing some exercises from Pinterest and Pregnancy without the Pounds…Good email to be subsribed to. I don’t like spam but I love those ones, it’s just like food and exercise advice.
  • I have a Norwex party and a Mary Kay party to plan…..now THOSE are time consuming!!! =) Do you have any consultant friends? Jewelry consultants? Party Lite? Mary Kay? Avon? Norwex?

@jaguar:  Aw, boo. Jag I’m sorry… Try waiting for three mornings and see??? Maybe two?? So frustrating and such a horrible way to start your day every morning.

@ChuckNorris:  Yeah, I had hope until this morning, but I think I’m just about done now. I’ll wait and see when AF arrives – but the IVF clinic wants me to pee on their special sticks on 13th & 15th of May. Maybe I’ll just wait until then.

thanks everyone for the support! I was at Walgreens running errands and totally caved and bought more tests. 13dpo (I think) = BFN. and it looks like I’ve started to spot a little bit…. I’m still hoping these are all positive signs, i messed up on my cycle days and i’m still too early, but we’ll see. *crossing fingers*

Anyone else cave and test today?? Sending tons of baby dust to everyone!!!

@jaguar:  I agree that sometimes with IVF it can take longer to show a BFP.  FX for you!  What number IVF is this for you?

@ChuckNorris:  What’s this fertility plan you are talking about?  DH said we need to start taking our vitamins and getting healthier.  I LOVE your outline of how you’re keeping busy during the TWW.  I’ve been busy planning our summer travels, cleaning out the house (SO MUCH JUNK!), taking care of our paperwork (trying to digitize everything), and uploading pics of our last 5 trips on our family shutterfly.

@cafegirl:  I’m so sorry about your friend.  It’s so hard when you lose someone so young.  Puts everything into perspective.  That’s why I thank God for every day on this earth.  ((HUGS))

This is our first IVF. Unfortunately we will have to do another full cycle in a few months time.

Had some spotting on the Crinone applicator tonight & cramping. I don’t think I’ll make it to Sunday before AF arrives at this point. :/

I can’t remember if I joined this thread earlier, I haven’t been posting in quite a while. I needed a break. It’s been 8 weeks since my mc and we decided not to wait for AF. I think I’m 5 dpo today. I have only been tracking cm. We’ll do that for a couple of cycles and then think about temping.

It’s still early for any symptoms. I’ll be POAS if AF doesn’t show by next Friday. Hoping not to cave before then.
