@Kalamaz17:  if you had super-cheapies, you could do two a day…? I don’t think it HAS to be the same time every day, just that you risk missing the surge if you have much more than a 24 hour gap… (disclaimer – i’m by no means an expert here!!). I got my positive last night at 7.30pm…

@DiamondsandLace:  happy fertile week 😉 an anniversary BFP would be a lovely present! not sure about short LPs, sorry, but if your doctor hasn’t said anything…? Hav you/do you use OPKs to confirm O date? I never get any O pain, so no idea what that feels like, sounds like a fairly sure sign though.

@DiamondsandLace:  I’m curious about my luteal phase also.  I, too, have 26-28 day cycles and also get really bad pain around ovulation.  I am worried that maybe I’m not ovulating this month.  I am on CD 12 and have basically no CM.  I always have CM by now.  I also had super bad ovary pain on Saturday which is the same type of pain I normally feel around ovulation, but that was only CD 9 which would’ve been too early to ovulate (right?).  I should probably get OPK’s, but I’ve also just gone by counting the days and CM.  Since I’m so regular, I didn’t want to start using OPK’s, but maybe I should.  On the plus side, yseterday was my one-year anniversary (woo hoo!) and we did have a celebratory BD session which would be perfect if I do in fact ovulate when I’m supposed to (not that BD is only about the babies Smile)

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary!

@cafegirl:  in my super-amateur opinion, CD9 would be too early… and if you wanted, you could try using OPKs today and still possibly catch it… I *think* that the luteal phase is usually an average of 14 days, but often shorter, and might be shorter with shorter cycles??? so you might not ovulate until CD 14-16?? but you know your cycle best – what day do you usually ovulate? And, apparently we all have a month (or two) where we don’t ovulate, so it is possible that this is the month for you…

Congrats on your first anniversary!!!

@StaceyA:  I don’t enjoy charting, per se…but it is kind of cool learning about it and your body. I could probably do it for another month or so if I had to.

@cafegirl:  I also have the same cycles as you and I can ALWAYS feel O.  I started my OPKs on CD 8 and yesterday, CD 9 the line started to get darker.  So I’m hoping it’s right around the corner.  In the next couple of days!  Hoping you get a late 1 year anniversary present!

@hamikay:  You are right…sometimes we skip a month.  I was told the older we get, the more likely it is to happen which is why it’s harder to get pregnant 35+.  We have actively been TTC for a few months and I was concerned about O which is why I got the OPKs to make sure.

@hamikay:  I just bought a bunch of the cheapies from Amazon, so I think I’ll just go back to doing it twice a day. Just having a hard time deciding when to start.  AF is finally over so I”m excited to get started on this cycle again.  I made an appointment to start acupuncture again, so hopefully that will help too!

Thank you all for the well wishes! Today I am pretty convinced I ovulated, so I started my prometrium (a progesterone supplement to keep my levels high and help any little baby bunny in there implant).

I am going to need this thread’s solidarity to keep me from testing early! I don’t think I’ve ever made it past 11DPO without testing and I’d like to get to 14 DPO (May 5) which is when I expect my period.

@texasbee:  Thank you!  How interesting about the line getting darker on CD 9 for you.  I’m still not exactly sure how OPK’s work, but does the line getting darker mean things are gearing up for O?  I’m hoping my CD 9pains were a good sign.  I do have CM today so maybe I was worried for nothing (I swore I’d never talk about CM, but this is the place to have these conversations!)

@DiamondsandLace:  Thank you–it would be pretty awesome to have an anniversary BD baby!  I am really curious about O pains.  A few months ago I had really, really bad O pains that only an 800mg ibuprofen could relieve (normally it’s more twingy and slight pain, not severe like that, although they were pretty bad on Saturday) so I did a little online research and, apparently, some people feel O pains before Ovulation, some feel it the day of, and some feel it a few days after.  So maybe you feel your pains after O which would make your LP within a more normal range?  But I’m like you–if I don’t get a BFP in May, I think I’m going to try OPK’s just for confirmation of when I actually ovulate (and that I am ovulating!)

@bunny:  I’m really happy you’re feeling good that you ovulated.  Regarding waiting on testing, YOU CAN DO IT!  May 5th will be here before you know it.

Hello lovely TTC ladies:) Hanging out at CD8 today and getting ready to start our BD “schedule” tonight. I had my routine OB/GYN annual this morning and am feeling oddly optismistic about this cycle.  Not really sure why, maybe just because I love my doctor and the whole practice- they’re very reassuring that VERY few people are completely unable to have kids… especially after a miscarriage.

What else is new? I splurged and bought 2x as many OPKs as usual and am going to start testing in the AM and the afternoon so I can catch my surge- never got a positive last month but pretty sure I just missed it.

I’m ALSO hoping that now that I’ve quit my job (YAY!), my decreased stress will help in the BFP arena. AND, we’ll have some time off in between jobs to spend some “quality time” together:)

How is everyone else’s month going so far?

@bunny:  We’ll be here to help you stay strong:)  I ALWAYS tell myself I won’t test early, but have never made it past 11DPO either- so you’re not alone!

@bunny:  awww…baby bunny!! FX’s crossed for you!!!

So I ordered some more Pre-Seed from Amazon, I opened it up and it came with a little baggie of “baby dust.” just some glittery party confetti, with bottles, ducks, and BABY.  How cute!!  I’m tempted to put in under my pillow…LOL

@MRSLMA:FX that this is your lucky month! I don’t have a good feeling about this month. Maybe it’s because I’m on CD 5 and still spotting. I actually may be on CD6 though. It’s hard determining what is spotting and what is a light period. I’ve never had such a light period as I’ve had this month.

@Kalamaz17: Lol. I love the baby dust. That’s actually pretty  awesome it came like that.
