haha… I’m about 2 weeks out and we STILL haven’t gone to get our marriage license!  Once fiance gets home from work he rarely likes to go back out.. so I’ve had to push him. He actually brought up the other day that it’d be a good idea to get on that. LOL. ya think?!

Sorry! I know life cant get crazy and not to stress you out, but you really need to check into this ASAP. Some states have a waiting period of at least 30 days before you can marry after obtaining the license!

Yeah in NY its 2 days. I made sure to check that, fully knowing my fiance is a procrastinator.

Ha!  These silly details!  I keep thinking we will forget the rings!

@heathaah: i was so paranoid about forgetting my rings the few days before the wedding!  I asked everyone where they were 10 times a day.

@bluespurrs: there’s always something to forget!  At least you got a reminder a few weeks in advance!

My FH was so paranoid about making sure we did this – funny – you’d think he’d avoid making this "official"

We aren’t going to be able to get the license until the day before the wedding–and then we will have to get a court to waive the three-day waiting period.  (We’re getting married in MA, and live in DC, so it’s not practical to just pop in and get a license.)  When I run out of other things to stress about, there is always that!

In Missouri there is no waiting period.. you can get your license and be legally married the same day if you want! Also, it’s good for up to 30 days prior to your wedding date. Yay for flexibility!
