It feels weird at first to feel the penis contractions. Some may leak out but not much…I don’t think a towel is necessary.

I mean, you can definitely tell when it happens and afterwards a tiny bit may leak out but it shouldnt be messy enough to require a towel. Theres nothing wrong with using one if you prefer though.

If you’re TTC then you obviously won’t want to stand up right afterward, but just a warning to be ready when you do. I can put a pillow under my hips and sleep the whole night like that, but the next morning I still have some drip out onto my leg.

daniellemc :  we had used the pull out method for a long time leading up to TTC and we’re both pretty nervous to do something we were so careful to avoid.

I didn’t really feel anything all that different. We would do at bedtime and I stayed laying down and went to sleep and really didn’t have any leakage at all. It’s actually much “cleaner”, in my option. No towel needed.

daniellemc :  Super tmi, but I need a towel afterwards. I just don’t like the feeling of leaks. But sometimes when he finishes it actually pushes me to orgasm which makes for a really nice ending lol

daniellemc :  Having just started trying for kids, I’d say it feels pretty dang good in there but I can’t actually feel it happen (in that specific region).  We need a towel, but I think that’s half me.  The amount of fluid is really person dependent.  Try it out and then you’ll know.

Feels pretty great. You shouldn’t need a towel, but expect some drippage onto your thighs if you get up and walk around afterwards. I’ve heard lying on your back with a pillow under your hips can help with conception, so maybe try that and watch an episode of something on Netflix?

I’m also sheepishly on team towel. It’s never been like in the movies for us (where you separate and just lay there and cuddle). Not at all. It’s not sexy at all. Sex is messy. We need a towel and keep tissues or TP nearby for when we separate to catch all of the fluid. Since TTC, I also lay there for 10 minutes afterward on the towel. Sometimes I even put on my underwear with a fresh pantyliner (I have it ready) to catch drips. Even then, when I stand up, I get gushes sometimes.

Husband had his SA done and apparently he passed with flying colors, so maybe he just has more semen than most?

I’m kind of baffled that it isn’t like this for everyone! He’s the only person I’ve ever had sex with.

So to answer your question, I think it just depends on the couple!

We have Kleenex at the ready–we’re not TTC yet so the pill is our protection, and I waddle with a tissue to the bathroom and clean up right away. I couldn’t just let things…hang out down there. It’s kind of messy.

You might feel his member twitch a little when he is cumming. For me, I’d put a pillow under my hips for about 15 minutes, then go clean myself up in the washroom. I’d pee, and most of it would go in the toilet, then use a washcloth to clean my lady bits and inner thighs. To be honest, the more often you have sex, the smaller the ‘load’ in my experience.

You could always consider keeping a penis beaker on the bedside table too…
