bearb1 :  if pregnancy hormones are strong enough to give you symptoms, your pregnancy test will be positive. Just take a test.

Anything and everything can be a symptom of early pregnancy, but if a pregnancy is giving you these symptoms, a test would be positive now. Frer detects as low as 7miu, others are 25 miu or 50 miu. If your calculations are correct and you are six days late, you won’t even need an early test. Unless you ovulated late of course.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been absolutely convinced that I’m pregnant, even though I haven’t had sex since my last period. The mind can play nasty tricks on you

But the solution is simple, take a test, now.

I feel like I’m missing something – why haven’t you just taken a test? Tests are accurate from the day of or couple days before your expected period. At 6 days late you could have tested a week ago.

You may be or you may have ovulated late. I dont think there is much more speculating that can be done than that. If you have symptoms and are 6 days past when your period was due it’s late enough to test. Good luck.

If you are at the point where you are having geniune pregnancy symptoms, a pregnancy test would be positive by now

bearb1 :  Oh yeah that’s definitely relevant information. If you’ve tested FRER and it’s negative, I would say safe to assume you’re not pregnant, but I would book a doctors appointment and tell them you were spotting intermenstrually and now missed your period. You should get a blood test and also checked out for if something else is going on, especially since you have a very regular cycle usually from the sounds of it.

bearb1 :  Symptom spotting will drive you crazy.
Unfortunately, the reality is that with 4 negative FRERs in the last week, your symptoms aren’t pregnancy related.

bearb1 :  I’ve been there bee. Do you struggle with anxiety at all? My anxiety tends to cling to the thought of pregnancy, to the point of obsessing. It used to be a fear of pregnancy but now that we are two months away from ttc number two, it’s an obsession with the desire to be pregnant. I just came out of this during the last cycle and I’m hoping to not do it to myself during this cycle because we have decided on August. Having that timeline in mind is calming me down

I wonder if setting an actual timeframe in place instead of ntnp will be helpful for you. I’m thinking that’s whats going to get me through these next two months, actually preventing until we decide to try in August. My med prescriber suggested putting a timeframe in place instead of ntnp and I could actually physically feel myself calming down at the suggestion of it

The pregnancy anxiety (obsession on my part) is really REALLY hard to explain, when my anxiety is heightened, the pregnancy obsession starts. Anxiety has to cling to something and mine tends to cling to pregnancy 🤷🏻‍♀️

A checkup with your obgyn could be helpful for you to. I believe there are meds that can give you your period to end this cycle

bearb1 :  I would suggest buying a Tempdrop. It’s an armband thermometer that you wear to sleep, and with the App Ovuview, will help you track your cycle. It’s way less work than having to wake up early every day to take you BBT. I’m just thinking it might help you to track your cycle, so that you know when you’ve ovulated etc, which will make it easier when you are TTC plus will help with the “maybe I just ovulated really late?” questions.

I am sorry it’s been a confusing last few weeks 🙁 that’s really hard. It sounds like you ovulated late. Definitely worth checking with your doctor if you are worried about all the other symptoms. Keep us posted!

bearb1 :  good luck! I hope they can jump start your cycle so you can start tracking! Starting to track can take away some of the “could I be pregnant” thoughts

It also sounds like we plan to ttc at the same time. I started a cycle calendar with my period before this last one. My body gives very obvious signs during my fertile window, so when I saw those changes, I took an opk each morning until I had a positive (about three days I think). Then I assumed I ovulated the day after the positive.

Now that I’ve had another period, the calculator will be more accurate and I’m going to do the same thing with the opks to see what happens.

I’m off of birth control because I want to see what my cycle does, but we will be preventing because I just showed myself that I will drive myself crazy, and him as well, if we don’t lol

Sounds like late ovulation. I wouldn’t call/go to the doctor yet. Usually they don’t want to see you unless you’ve confirmed that you are pregnant with an at home test, or if you haven’t had a period in over 3 months. Give it some time. I know you said you were looking into tracking your cycles more in depth at the end of summer when you’re actually trying, but maybe you would find it useful to start once your next cycle starts? Just so you won’t drive yourself crazy with the what ifs?! Best of luck bee.
