I wore a fit and flare in August and I didn’t suffer from chaffing, however I did read up on stockings (eeww more layers!?) or baby powder 🙂

I wear spanx whenever I want to keep my legs from rubbing together. it’s an extra layer, but you have to decide which is worse: too-warm legs or sweaty, rubbing legs?  as long as my face and neck stayed cool I didn’t care.

With big ball gowns, hoop skirts are great for keeping a little air con under there 😉

And of course, this is apparently why god made spanx — the bicycle shorts-looking ones. Keep dem thighs apart!

I wear spanx to prevent chafing. I always need fabric in between my legs!

I very well may wear leggings under my dress. I just can’t dance the night away with worry about sweat and chafing and accidentally flashing people.

I actually bought some white lululemon crops to wear under my dress… perhaps a little overkill… But i hate trying to put spanx on when im all hot and himid and theres no way i would survive and entire day of pure hot, sticky chaffing…

A friend used Bodyglide and recommended it to me. I’ve seen it on amazon and at a sports store… I think it’s to prevent chaffing for runners.

The company Slumber Parties used to have something called “coochie” spray- not kidding! It was really good for this sort of thing, I have used it under dresses before. Not sure if they still make it though.

I agree with julies1949. Though I haven’t worn them for a wedding gown yet, I do actually wear “bloomers” like these under my renaissance faire outfit because it helps so much in the hot summer heat in August!! In fact I’m probably going to get a pair of the ones linked because I’m due for a new set!

I keep a small tube of the Monistat chafing gel in my purse. You can buy it anywhere. I got it at Wal-Mart. It squeezes out like a gel, but feels like a powder when you rub it on your thighs! Love it!

I got married on a 100 degree day so I bought Certain Dri. You apply it for about two weeks up to the wedding. I applied it to my under arms but also under and between my boobs, and on my inner thighs, even under each butt cheek. And it TOTALLY worked. I don’t remember sweating at all. It was HOT, but I wasn’t “wet”
