I went on a cruise to Mexico last year. We stopped in Mazatlan for the day. I absolutely loved it there. We rented Jet skis from a person on the beach and just hung out at the bar. There were some pretty cool shops near the resorts. I wouldn’t suggest going into the middle of town. I thought I was going to get robbed the second I got out of the car. We rode around in the little golf cart looking buggies. Hope I was a little help haha…you can also check this website for ideas.

I’ve been twice and the beach is beautiful. There’s a lot of water sports to do: jet ski, parasail, get your hair braided :), shop, eat seafood, drink margaritas, etc. It’s a cute town to go shopping and just walk around. Even at night the weather is perfect. If you’re staying in a timeshare, go to the presentation and get free stuff ๐Ÿ™‚ We did that and got snorkeling, cruises, dinner, massage, bottle of tequila, etc. That was in Cabo, but they have similar things there too. Mostly, I would ask the locals where the best restaurants are and go to all of them. Ride in the golf cart looking things, cheaper than a cab. They are called “Pulmonias”.

As MsAgua said, there is a lot of pick-pocketers. And don’t be surprised if you see kids doing it. Just tell everyone “No” and don’t make eye contact with people if they’re trying to sell you something and you are annoyed by it :). Our honeymoon in Cabo was awesome, and very similar to Mazatlan area…we just relaxed and did water recreational things, and went out and had a nice dinner all the time! ๐Ÿ™‚ Have fun.
