Not a solitaire but the colour of the stones may help you decide what to pick

I am on a blue kick myself-definitely the lighter is catching my eye.  I just purchased this stone [not from MoCo thought].  And the fact the lighter ring you posted looks like a cornflower blue was a shoe in for the vote.

My sapphire is incredibly dark, which I like, but you’re definitely right – it barely sparkles at all.

I have this blue sapphire RHR. It’s in an unusual setting, but I thought the shade of blue might help you out a little. It’s kind of in the middle between the darker colors and the lighter, cornflower blue. I’ll post a couple of pics in different lighting so that, maybe, you can see the way it catches the light.

Mine is a lab created sapphire, but it’s not from MoCo.

ad85:  Mine is a medium blue lab created sapphire from geolite. I really love the color of MCo’s light blue sapphire. I originally ordered a yellow oval from them, but returned it because I wasn’t crazy about the cut. (Ignore the grunginess of my ring.)

Here’s my Kashmir round from MoCo. It is delicious! (please excuse my dry post-cleaning hands!)

I think you’ll get more sparkle with the lighter sapphire. The color is pretty, too 🙂

I like the first one the best. You will get more sparkle from a lighter stone. Also I think you will get more sparkle from a standard round brilliant, “diamond”, shape or maybe cushion.

Might have to do some shopping to find a SRB as opposed to “round”, “modified brilliant” and “mixed cut”.

This is my lavander blue SRB sapphire I have in the safe. It is fairly light colored and it’s color varries like most colored stones with the light it is under. Thinking about have it set for Girlfriend.

Here it is again. The streaks are from oil from my finger tips. The 2nd pic here is thru the loop with a bright led light on it.

It has lots of sparkle from the point around the facets surrounding the table.
