OK Bees, need some advice. My cousin tells me in Rome (aka the only place in Italy where civilised people live according to her) that Brides are VERY serious about not being seen in their wedding dresses. So far, I wanna say, wow, we here in America have never heard of this custom. BUT she said in order to get all the pictures you could possibly want–some brides go out the week before their wedding and take pictures with their bridesmaids. (Still not really groundbreaking) THEN she said the bride gets a dress similar or the same as her bridesmaids and takes pictures all around the city with her bridesmaids. Now while this sounds like fun, and I like the idea of not getting my dress cleaned before my wedding…what do we think of this?
I asked my grandmother and she thinks the entire idea of bridesmaids is ridulous. (only one witness, preferably a family member is all that is required)
Pictures a good idea or weird?

Personally, I think it’s weird. I wouldn’t want to spend the few days before my wedding dressed up as a bridesmaid. I don’t think I’ll have time to do that, and honestly, I have no interest in having “wedding” photos of me as a bridesmaid. I think it’s weird. But, if it’s sometihng you want to do, it’s very unique!

Yeahhh that would not be something I would be into. Pictures of me in my wedding dress with my new husband in his tux after the wedding in the city? HELLYEAH! hahaha but no way would I dress up as a bridesmaid on MY wedding.

That was my thinking, but then I thought, hmm maybe I’m just no fun.

Sorry, I just straight up don’t get it? How owuld anyone know they were from your wedding if you dressed as a BM? And what would be the point? Isn’t the whole photo experience designed to capture your awesomeness on wedding day…in wedding gown…with new husband???
