- Wedding: August 2011
We are trying to figure out what we want to be served at our wedding. For a while we were looking at doing like 2 meats and 2-3 sides, but the other day we were having a conversation about our favorite foods. He loves baked spaghetti, and I love alfredo. We talked about doing something like a pasta bar, but I’m concerned that red sauce + white dress may = disaster. As of right now these are 2 of the meals we are considering. These are not the set menus, just ideas. As a guest, which would you want? What are your thoughts on the ideas?
Option 1
-2 carving stations with roast beef and baked turkey (I love roast, and he loves turkey.)
-Mashed potato and sweet potato bar (you choose the toppings: butter, chives, sour cream, bacon, etc. for regular potatoes and brown sugar, marshmallow, raisons, etc. for sweet potatoes)
– 2 types of veggies (still not sure which ones)
-rolls of some sort
The other option would be a pasta bar
-2 types of salads
-Pastas – fettuccine, penne, angel hair??
-Meats – chicken, meatballs, sausage and shrimp
-Sauces – alfredo, red sauce, pesto
-Extras -Parmesan cheese, mushrooms, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, basil
-Garlic bread and some type of non-garlic bread (aunt hates garlic)
We may have a few already made pasta dishes in addition to the bar options.
