- Wedding: April 2011
I know I should go see a doctor for any medical diagnosis, but I’m just looking for thoughts or advice. Before I start this, my fiance and I are definitely not trying to conceive right now, though it would be okay if it did happen (we are about 6 weeks away from the wedding, and I know babies are a blessing!)
I am on a generic form of Yaz called Zarah. I just started it a few months ago (Zarah, not BC pills – I’ve been on those for awhile), and to be honest I am not the most responsible with taking the pill every day at the same time. There are days when I double or even triple up because I forgot the day before (not that often, but it happens).
I woke up last night with terrible pain in my lower abdomen/ pelvic area. It wasn’t on one side or the other, just all over. I thought it could be a kidney stone or UTI, it was so bad. After about an hour it subsided. Since I woke up this morning I’ve just felt slightly nauseous and weak, no pain. This is about the time I would start ovulating if the pill isn’t working because I’ve been inconsistent.
I don’t think it’s a kidney stone or UTI because it doesn’t hurt anymore. I also thought “ovarian cyst” early on – my mom had a terrible ruptured cyst when she was in her mid-20s, she had to have surgery from the internal bleeding – but I talked it over with her and my symptoms don’t sound exactly the same (for instance, it doesn’t hurt to sit down). This also doesn’t sound like an early sign of pregnancy, but what do I know about that?
I DID take two pills yesterday, though I’ve never had a reaction like this before. I also used two Crest Whitestrips (you’re just supposed to use 1 per day), but I doubt that would make me sick. And I do know what ovulating feels like as I’ve had to go off of BC a few times in the past, and it’s typically just a slight crampy feeling for me.
I hope I don’t sound like a hypochondriac – I rarely get sick, and just go to the doctor for annual exams. The stomach pain and nausea just have me a little freaked out. It’s probably gas pains or something, haha. Any ideas?
