(Closed) Medical Transcription?

I work full time as a Medical Transcriptionist, but I work from a clinic.  The process is as a PP stated: the doctor makes a recording following an office visit and I type it after uploading the recordings into my transcription program. I have no formal training in this field — the office manager placed me in this position because I’m smart and good with terminology, and I can type 72 wpm.

Be advised that in 2012, laws are changing that are going to require that offices convert to electronic medical records. The way that I see it, this could be good OR bad for medical transcriptionists, but the doctor I work for says that many offices are doing away with them.

I CAN get boring, and it is hard on the body to sit still for long amounts of time.

Good luck!!
