Oh dear!  S/he’s adorable, but I hope you get him to a vet tomorrow!  That sounds really painful, and it could easily get infected and kill him/her.  What will you do with the baby long term?

Poor Kitty!

I hope the vet can fix that and that he’s found his forever home (Yours!)

so, bone is visible in a wound in a kitten, and you are posting about him on here? Really? If you’re more interested in taking pics than doing something, please take him to a vet instead of asking for prayers, that not an “ouchy”, its life threatening. Christ.

There are 24 hour vets that can take him immediatly and if his wound is that bad and he has been in a dirty he is at VERY high risk for a deadly infection. So, take him to the vet NOW if you want that poor baby to be okay! He seems so sweet.

while getting poor kitty to a vet is the best idea, prayers can do just as much as a vet can =)

Oh my gosh, so precious.  Last month I became a mommy of an abandoned kitten as well. Are you planning on keeping this little one?  Or are you going to fix it up and find it a home?

His/her injury is awful.  Are you going to the vet tomorrow morning?  I hope so!

Good luck!  Praying for the little baby to hang on until it can get help from a vet and to have a good recovery!

@gabrielleelise1981: I think it’s rather rude that you would assume that she wasn’t trying to get the poor kitty help. They obviously went out of there way to catch the kitten so don’t you think that they would try to get the kitten the appropriate care that it needs?

You could have said in your “hope the kitten gets well” post something along the lines of has the kitten seen a vet? or will you be taking the kitten to the vet? versus “please take him to a vet instead of asking for prayers, that not an “ouchy”, its life threatening. Christ.”

Just rude.

@juhneenee: Oh sorry, the other posts weren’t up when i started typing my first response so now i know the answers to all my questions!

@gabrielleelise1981:  I understand you’re concern for the kitten.  You are right, that is a very horrible injury that needs professional help as soon as possible.  But give juhneenee some credit.  She’s in the process of trying to get it help : ]

All I know is if I had a kitten who had a bone showing wound, I wouldn’t be taking pics of him/her to post to WB asking for sympathy. I would call a 24 hour vet. There are many in South Carolina, including:

http://www.scvec.com/

Carolina Veterinary Specialists

http://www.yext.com/vets/services/emergency/sc/ (a whole bunch of 24/7 vets)

http://www.petflight.com/states/41/vet_clinics (another whole bunch of 24/7 vets)

http://web2.userinstinct.com/39663380-greater-charleston-emergency-veterinary-clinic.htm

Home

http://www.gdhfa.org/listings/994.htm

those are just the first that come up on the first google page.
