After a long drive to WI and back through thunderstorms and flooding we finally made it home with our new Saint Bernard puppy, Napoleon! He is just a little over 9 weeks old and LOVES to chew on anything and everything.
He likes to sleep on his back a lot
He is teething right now, so he bites, drags, pulls, and chews on everything
Our family threw us a “welcome home Napoleon” party on Sunday.
We are convinced he is the world’s cutest and most photogenic puppy. We are so excited he is home <3

@megz06: I have a friend with a St. B, who then went on to add a Newfie to her crew… Big dogs are the best! Congrats on your new family member, he is adorable and the name is perfect!

Aww, so cute! Congrats! Funny story: I took my dog for a bath at our local self-serve dog wash, and in the tub next to ours was a St. Bernard puppy, maybe 6-8 months old. The girls washing him looked at my guy (64-lb. pit mix) and exclaimed, ‘BIG dog!’ (I don’t think they spoke much English). I was just thinking, ‘ummm…you know your dog is going to be, like, three times this size, right?!’

@loveandapitbull: Lol I love that story. Everyone keeps saying “you know he gets big right?” I just want to be like NO REALLY? YOU DON’T SAY! I honestly would have skipped the puppy and went straight for the big Saint had I been able to but because I have never had a puppy in my life (we have rescued our animals for years) Darling Husband felt I needed to have a puppy and experience this.
Thanks for the congrats everyone. He is our pride and joy!

@megz06: Haha, I’m just hoping that wherever they got their dog, its eventual adult size was successfully communicated 😛
Raising a puppy is SUCH an experience – but you’ll end up with such an amazing bond because of it 🙂 Good luck!

@megz06: Sorry, wasn’t meaning to imply you didn’t know he’d be huge. I am just looking at those paws and think he will be especially huge! Lol.

@megz06: OMG insanely cute! Oh, and NEVER put him down!! They grow up so fast and you never get to hold them like that again! (my bear is 120lbs!)
