Not a super duper poster but I am as super duper reader (like everyday!!) I am just so excited about our newest family member I just had to show him off! I get to pick him up Friday night and can’t wait.
This will be my very first little dog. I had a keeshound back in junior high/high school but that was many moons ago and that was more of my parents dog anyway. This one will be all mine!
We recently went through a loss and my husband is getting me this little guy to help me get over that since we will not be having more children. Our daughter is 16 and will be leaving for college soon.
So if anyone has any tips on little dogs, he is a pomeranian, and 11 weeks now, oh and his name is Mustang!

So cute! I almost adopted a pomeranian with the same parti colours. I was vetoed by my boyfriend at the time (and the price tag!) The colors remind me of a teddy bear.

He is adorable!
My boyfriend and I got a miniature Schnauzer last year and named him Indy 🙂
Biggest tip I can give is be consistant – if you dont want him on furniture or to go to toilet in a specific spot etc keep at it and dont give in, even if those eyes are the cutest!
Training classes are also a massive help, even if you only do theym for a few months as they give you the basics and the trainer can give you pointers tha you might not see for yourself. And tehre is no such as too young for any type of training, the sooner you start making them do it the easier it will be 🙂

@Splodge2003 thanks so much – I can toally see my self being the biggest push over and letting him walk all over me! Did you send him away for training or did you do the training classes at like Petsmart or petco?

@notevenclose: He is very cute! My only tip for you is to establish the pecking order right away. He is a small dog and I assume he will stay small but if you don’t want him jumping all over you or your furniture then you need to stop him now (yes, when he’s a cute puppy) or else he will do it forever. Make sure that his first poop is outside and not in your house and praise him for it – no matter how long it takes, wait outside with him until he does it. Start the pattern early.
