On Thursday Boyfriend or Best Friend and I are headed to his hometown to meet his parents, sister, and brother-in-law (essentially his whole family, I’ve already met his aunt and uncle who live locally). I am so nervous! I keep pressing Boyfriend or Best Friend for info on anything I should know and plan to bring a nice bottle of wine and homemade blondies for a hostess gift, but not sure what else I need to do or consider…
Boyfriend or Best Friend and I are Jewish and Boyfriend or Best Friend told me not to get anything for his sister and brother-in-law (even though we’re going for the holidays not essential to exchange gifts).
This isn’t the first set of parents I’ve met but I’m especially nervous to meet this set! Any advice or thoughts? Is wine and cookies enough? Aack!

I think just as long as you be yourself you’ll be fine. You boyfriend obviously thought you are an amazing girlfriend if he asked you to meet his parents. That in it self is enough said. Have fun on the trip I know how nervous first time meetings can be.

Yeah just be yourself! I’m sure it will go really well!

If you bring cookies and be yourself, you will be fine. It’s usually those who try and be something they are not, where the family get suspicious and things start to fall apart, so be true to you 🙂

cookies and a nice bottle of wine sounds good, it’s really just the gesture anyway.
