FH and I are meeting with our caterer tomorrow (he is a friendor, but will be attending the weddng as a guest). FH wants ‘white glove’ service (IE: Plated and served meals) which I know can be EXPENSIVE.. I want it family style (IE: Bowls/plates of food on the table that gets passed from person to person, to create conversation).. We do not have room for a buffet. What questions do we ask? We already know that no matter what we want to offer chicken, ham and a children’s option (like spaghetti).. Which is our better option? Do we spend the extra money (and tax) to have eveything plated, or do we do it family style? This meeting with him will likely be the only meeting we have with him, with the exception of possibly visiting the venue one last time so my friend (who is kind of acting as a co-ordinator) can see how we want to set things up.
