So, he’s making remarks about YOU? what about your FI?? You didn’t have sex alone…  Not that I’m saying it’s ok for him to belittle you for your choices, but it’s unfair to make you out to be the only one in the wrong.

That would be why we ditched our original officiant.  I swear I had never heard the word “fornication” so many times in my life, lol. 

That and the fact that he said because my dad is catholic he’s just religious not a christian…  Talk about making someone verrry angry…

Wow, that’s awkward and annoying! When we told our rabbi we lived together, he just said that he’d actually rather us do that now a days b/c it helps you get to know someone and make sure you’re ok with them!

I have seen so many stories of officiants making snippy remarks or even refusing to officiate based on the couple’s having lived together.  Really now, wouldn’t you think that if people were living together, an officiant who disapproved would want to correct the situation by having them get married?

And in your case, putting the blame on you but not your Fiance makes no sense at all.
