My husband and I had our wedding and reception in Event Room 1 at Mellwood at the end of March and instead of paying the crazy costs of having a vendor come in to hang dividers to separate the room for our ceremony and wrap the pillars with lights/fabric, we purchased everything and a few family members did it for us. If any of you are planning to host your wedding/reception in the same room, I’d highly recommend doing it yourselves and the money saved can be spent on other more important things. We’re selling the dividers and light strands for the pillars, so please let me know if any of you are interested in them or if you’d like to see photos.

These panels are still available! My hubby and I will be back in Louisville over Thanksgiving Day weekend if you’re interested in taking a look at them or I can arrange a time prior to then if necessary.

I don’t need to buy anything, but I just wanted to say that we had our reception in that room too! We loved it 🙂 I wish I had seen your posting earlier!

These are still available if anyone is interested. We’ll be in town this weekend and can provide instructions on how we hung them.

What did you use as your backdrop…altar area? Do you have a close up picture?

I figured this is an old post, but what did you use as room dividers? Did you make them yourself or where did you buy them?
