Hello everyone, I’m looking for venues in the Boston/North Shore area and came accross the memorial in Melrose. Does anyone have any experience with this place? I can hardly find any reviews on it anywhere. Thanks!
If anyone has any other suggestions for a place in the Boston area with a lot of drama that can accomodate 150-200 (or that I can decorate to accomodate a dramatic feeling–think cathedrals or something out of Harry Potter) I would love suggestions! I love the Boston Public Library but I’m afraid it’s out of our price range.

Arlington Town Hall might be a good fit for you!

I grew up in Melrose and Memorial Hall to me doesn’t seem like a wedding reception venue to me. It’s very old and dark. I used to attend dance recitals there.

I don’t know that its used as wedding venue, which may explain the lack of reviews. I drive by it twice a day and I dont think I’ve ever seen anyone walk in there dressed up.
Try Old Town Hall in Andover

Thanks for the feedback!
@brideesq Yes Arlington is beautiful but may be out of our price range. 🙁
@sheilad72 I have a penchant for “old and dark” so it has potential for me :D. Plus Mr. Carmine is a Marine and we both went to a military school with similar architecture so you could say the pictures made me feel at home :p
@mandypop I saw photos from a wedding online that was held there and it looked kinda neat. I am definitely looking into Andover because I think their prices might be even better. Thanks!
