I want to have a few memorial candles on the table where we have our tablecards at the wedding for loved ones who are no longer with us. I was thinking that the candle holder itself could have the person’s name and a little saying. I have seen some on etsy but was wondering if anyone out there had done this and where they got the candle holders. Thanks!

I bet you could do a DIY version using Armour Etch and a stencil or something. Young House Love had a tutorial on using armour etch.
I’ve used it before, but not for the intended purpose. You can actually use it to remove the anti-reflective glare coating on eyeglasses. lol.

I think I’m going to make a Luminary with a picture on it or something 🙂 You can use electric candles for those, which works better for me since we’ll have kids.

We had one candle made by an artisit on Etsy. We lit the candle during the ceremony and acknowledged those loved ones by having a poem read that was on the candle itself. Just a thought..

Try wickless flameless candles by Scentsy. It’s a safe alternative to regular candles, plus they are very aromatic. http://www.angie5.scentsy.us
