I have a delima…. we both have lost our grandparents and my fiance has lost his mom 2 yrs ago. We are planning on having memorial candles at the cermony lit by his father, his sister and his aunt. We have a delima of some think we should have the candles lit with a song playing in the background and some say thats tacky it should be done in pure silence as a rememberence. Any suggestions ? Any suggestions on an appropriate song since its grandparents and a mother that is being remembered?

I love the idea of memory candles! For some reason I keep thinking Brandon Heath- Love Never Fails would be appropriate. If it was me being commemorated I would like Joh Waller- The Blessing played but that is just a me thing. Maybe their favorite hymm or an instrumental song. If they were believers maybe Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)-Chris Tomlin. It is hard because I know nothing about them. Did You look for suggestions on Wedding Wire? Please let me know what you decide. It is a very personal decision. I do like the idea of music though as it gives people something else to focus on instead of bawling.
