I am on the search for a memory foam pillow. I currently have an offbrand one I got through overstock which is incredibly well made and seems like it could really last for a very long time…problem is that it is WAY too firm…and it feels more like memory foam meets regular foam (it doesn’t really conform so much like normal memory foam…kind of springs back to normal shape which I don’t mind really if it weren’t so unforgiving). If it were softer, it would be a dream. If you’re looking for a firm pillow I highly recommend it:)
So I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on which direction I should go in. Tempurpedic has a pillow I desperately want (the Cloud) but it’s $130 (and the reviews don’t look so hot so far)
which is way too steep right now. I saw Bed Bath and Beyond has a ComforPedic pillow by Simmons which is very reasonable in price, but they didn’t have any at the store I went to yesterday so I have no idea how soft it is. Anyone tried one of these pillows?
OMG I didn’t expect this to get so long…HELP! 🙂

We just got 2 of them a week ago. I got the cloud and Darling Husband got the symphony. The cloud is really soft. Darling Husband LOVES his and he likes how its double-sided so that its a little different on each side. To be honest, I was pretty jealous of his pillow the first few days and I was regretting my decision. Mine was feeling a little too soft. But now I like mine a little more every night. We got a new mattress too so I think it was a lot of “newness” all at once. I suggest going to a store that sells beds and tempur-pedic pillows and trying them out first.
And P.S.> Tempur-pedic is way more affordable in the U.S. than it is here in Canada, and our dollar is actually worth more than the U.S. dollar now. I tried to buy the pillows online from the U.S. Tempur store but they won’t ship to Canada (which pisses me off beyond belief) so I was forced to pay our rediculous retail prices. My cloud was $200 and DH’s was $190 before taxes! So don’t feel too bad paying $130 🙂 Good Luck!

Well it’s good to hear that someone with the cloud really likes it. If I eventually decide to take the plunge and shell out the money for a Cloud, it’s good to know that it’s comfortable. Holy cow! I can’t imagine spending $200 on a pillow! I went to two stores yesterday just to “feel around” but it makes me paranoid to actually put my head down on all the used pillows.

The Simmons one from Bed Bath & Beyond is the best! I’ve got 2! And they last FOREVER.

@MrsCoachBtoBee: Is it kind of soft or is it really firm like most memory foam? Tell me all about it!!! (haha) I really wish that BB&B had it there when I went yesterday. I really want to feel one. They seem to be priced really well.
