Fiance and I are pretty involved in our church and have several missions that are close to our heart. Fiance just told me that he would like to plan another trip to the mission we both love and doesn’t understand why I don’t want him to plan it in the 3-4 weeks before our wedding. I told him about all the last minute things we will have to be doing and he doesn’t seem to think it will be that much. It’s not that I don’t want him to go for this wonderful cause, I just don’t want it to be in the last 21 days before we get married. Am I being unreasonable for telling him that?

I think it’s reasonable to be realistic about having too much on your plate before your special day. I will not be having anything other than work and wedding related plans the 21 days before as well. Start with understanding how important the mission is to him and it is to you as well. Remind him how important it is for you to approach the day feeling prepared and come to a compromise

I definitely don’t think it’s unreasonable.

I think it’s unreasonable for him to try to do that! He needs to just trust you that you’ll be crazy busy and respect that evn if he doesnt agree or understand it., there are plenty of times to go I’m sure!
