Why oh why must illness bring out the whiney inner man child in them!? I had the same stomach bug a few days ago and I think I handled myself quite gracefully!
Am I horrible for finding him a little comical and cute in his weakened state? Does anyone else’s SO/DH/FI get like this? Usually my Fiance handles illness quite well, but this time he is NOT happy.
PS Of course I feel bad for the guy and am taking care of him!

Yeah, haha. My Darling Husband is the same way.

Ugh. Darling Husband can be a whiny pain when he’s “sick.” It definitely seems like when we get the same bug, he’s incapable of managing without having a breakdown while I just try to tough it out or sleep it off. What’s with that? 😏

They may be like that at home, but in the ER we have all experienced that, as a generalization, men don’t come in to the hospital until they are next to dead.

This would be my Darling Husband currently. He woke up like he was dying a slow death. Gotta love men. 🙂

My husband gets SO mad at me because I pretty much tell him to suck it up when he’s sick. He does get ill far more than I do for whatever reason. I don’t know how I got blessed with such a phenomenal immune system but hooray for it. That’s probably why I roll my eyes when he gets sick.

Ugh, mine is the same way, but I’m past finding it cute. I think it’s super annoying. Take some emergen-c and quit whining, dude.

I wonder if this is just every man ever lol
I found myself at Shoppers Drug Mart at 3:30am this morning with a big manbaby on my hands at home. He doesn’t get sick often so when he does we’re talking Whiner Level: Expert. I haven’t gotten sick of playing caregiver yet though, so this uncommon vulnerable state of his totally makes me melt 😊

Nah, mine’s an annoying trooper. He overly takes care of me when I’m sick though!

Ugh, my hubby is a giant of a baby when he’s sick. I think he literally thinks death is imminent when he gets a stuffy nose LOL

outdoorbee: Haha, I’m just getting over the flu and he’s all like: oh dear… So what is happening today and food? He’s just gotten it and it’s like: ugh! I’m dying! Not so much fun now huh!?

Ama14: lol same here! And he is SUCH a complainer… “Oh my NECK” “my BACK is killing me” “my throat HURTS” “My hip feels weird” “I smashed my toe into the wall and its on FIRE”….. There is literally 849359 complaints the minute he comes in from work… his job is physical and I love him but oh man can he COMPLAIN..Sheesh

Mine is pretty good when he gets sick but he is a clutz and when he walks into something he always yells and carries on.. super annoying!

My SO gets very whiney when sick, too. I get whiny but I mostly just wanted to be left alone to fend for myself. BUT, when I am sick he is SUPER attentive and will do pretty much anything I ask, so there is a hidden benefit.

My Darling Husband is unstoppable when sick. He barely acknowledges it and I’ve seen him with full on flu and exhaustion after working for a month in africa. He is SO resiliant to the point where it scares me. As in I will never be certain how sick he really is. Still, he’s never a whiny baby so I guess thats a good thing!
