I have a dilemma. I have an ivory dress and I want my hubby to wear an ivory vest. Question is, I’m not sure if the vest should have an ivory back or a white one????
Can’t find any of these in store because they only allow rentals for these and I want to purchase and online pictures do not help at all.
What do you guys think?

@moczarna00: Hmm…i take it he’s not wearing a jacket? I guess if he’s not, I would go with the ivory back.

@moczarna00: What’s his whole outfit?

@Duncan: & @pengoala: He is wearing a jacket. It will be a dark grey suit with a white shirt, ivory tie and vest. Just really unsure about the vest because at the banquet hall he will definitely have his jacket off for dancing and etc. Just not sure if the white back or ivory back would look better?!

My Darling Husband wore an ivory vest but the back was a little lighter but still considered ivory (or off white). As you can see you can’t really tell the difference. His shirt is white.

With the white shirt, you could do either, and they would both look perfectly normal. I might consider going with a coloured or winchester (white collar with colour) shirt, though – in which case an ivory back, I’d say. I think that, with the right shirt, the contrast will give him more presence, especially if he’s going to spend a substantial amount of time with his jacket off.
