mel2 :  Not to be rude, but does it really matter if it looks super cheap, if that’s what he likes? Actually from an image search, I think most of them look fine… they just aren’t shiny is all.  Mine has a custom silver ring, though there’s nothing special about it. I think it cost $160 and he lost the first one within two weeks of wearing it.  We just went ahead and had it made by the guy who did my rings.

I thought I read meteorite rusts? But if he wants it and isn’t opposed to replacing it then I think he should have it. My husband and I also felt this way about mens rings. My husband ended up going with a Tantalum ring. He really likes it. He didn’t want any of the usual precious metals or black tungsten because everyone else has it. He fully intends to upgrade to Damascus steel or something else later when we can afford it because while he likes the Tantalum it still looks more common than he wants. But at least for now he has his super special (and by special I mean common. Not that anyone who picks precious metals or tungsten’s ring isn’t special) metal lol.

Just make sure if you do look into Tantalum don’t get it off amazon. The company didn’t have the registry cards that you need to be able to have the ring resized through a dealer. Go through a normal dealer. Better that way.

I have been been looking at some rings on this website for my hubby to be. I am not sure quality or anything really as I’ve been purely looking based on visual appeal as my fiancé is in the Canadian armed forces and I can imagine anything I get him will get potentially damaged/dirty lol! But, they look really cool to me 🙂

My ex, we had a custom real 14K and titanium ring hand made. It wasn’t cheap. Now, my fh chose a nice shiny tungsten ring for its properties.

I think a simple men’s band looks classy, when they get trendy or blingy they look cheap or tacky

ksmith123456 :  tungsten doesn’t scratch stays shiny forever it’s virtually indestructible.  It’s why my fh chose it. He works in mining

Fiancé chose a titanium ring with different texture and colour, it’s grey, looks pretty neutral and good quality, feels light, so he’s happy with it. Got it from a proper jewellery store. It doesn’t look cheap. It’s not this one but look a bit like it, the middle is more light grey than white gold.

My FH is currently looking at one made of black zirconium with a gold inlaid stripe. We haven’t seen it in person yet, but I’ve read that they are extremely durable.

My husband chose an 18kt white gold ring and Tacori gave him a complimentary steel ring that he really likes.

My husband got a black titanium ring from Tiffany. It’s simple and masculine and does not look cheap!

My husband got a carbon fiber ceramic ring. He couldn’t do anything metal because he’s an electrician. Here’s a very very similar ring from Amazon.

I don’t think it looks cheap even though it actually IS very cheap. And both of us love it. It’s so different than what you’d typically see in a jewelry store. And, since it’s so cheap, we’ve never worried much about if we have to replace it.
