(Closed) Men’s Warehouse…anyone have a good experience?

I think it depends on the store. We went to one where they told my FH that he was a different neck size than he KNOWS he is, and measured him really long for the pants. Then when it came time to set up our wedding party, they didn’t know how to change his individual reservation to a group reservation and told us to call back the next day. That didn’t seem like it would actually help, so instead, we went to another store IN Savannah and they were great- measured FH perfectly, got our group all set up with no problems, and told us if we had five tux rentals, the groom’s tux would be free OR he could choose a suit worth $400 from the store for free. They gave us a certain date that at least 3 men had to be measured by to lock in the price because they warned me the prices would go up in summer, so we knew to get people measured before that date. Really helpful and so far we’ve had no problems! We’ll go 2 days before the wedding to try them on and pick them up and then return them the day after. It’s really easy because your groomsmen can get measured at any store and then pick up the tux at the store closest to your wedding and return it to the same store.

I agree with the above poster that it depends on the store… we had a horrible experience at a MW nearby (ignored by the employees, told we couldn’t get the tux/suit we wanted, didn’t offer an alternative, etc.), so we went to another one the next town over and had a great experience.  We picked out exactly what we wanted after being told it wouldn’t be possible.  Let’s just say the manager at the store we ended up buying from was not very happy with how we were treated as he managed both stores… so hopefully things get better at the store we left.  

I think of MW as David’s Bridal – some people have great experiences, other’s not so much.  I guess it depends on the store.

We felt very rushed at the Men’s Warehouse that we went too, but they were VERY FRIENDLY — I think it may have just been the fashion in which they work?? Just make sure you ask a lot of questions, because if it’s anything like the one we went too — they’re not going to give you multiple options like you should have! lol.

Good Luck though, overall, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. I’ll let you know more after we get the tuxes!

We had a good experience at the one we went to.  We went to buy my husband a suit and the gentleman really did his best to keep everything he showed us within our very small budget.  He was helpful and we never felt rushed!  We ended up spending a bit over our budget because we wanted to buy with him.  🙂

Apparently I (we) have good luck with these things, because I had a fantastic experience with David’s Bridal too!  lol

My husband had to rent from them for two weddings he was in and our own. He went to 6 different stores total and had a fine experience at all of them.

For one wedding the suit didnt fit, but he went to pick it up the day before the wedding, so by the next morning they had one that did. He is a really tall guy and not even close to a standard suit size so it was impressive they were able to have a suit that quick for him.

If people are coming from different states its really convenient to rent from a large chain like them.

I personally only went to the one of them to pick out our stuff and the girl who helped us was really nice and helpful. We didnt feel rushed and I really liked her! The choices in colors kinda sucked though.

We also thought it would be more convenient especially since our wedding was Out of Town and people in the wedding party were coming from all different areas, but I would not use them again. They messed up DH’s tux 3 times in the 2 days leading up to the wedding. When we first picked it up, the jacket was too big and the shirts were the wrong color (they kept trying to say that they were Ivory, which is what we wanted, but they were White). They made us drive back to the store the day of our rehearsal to pick up the new tux, but then his shirt was too small. At this point, we asked that they deliver a new shirt to our hotel because we could not come back given that our wedding was the next day. The shirt they delivered was too large and with sleeves that were too long for the wedding, but by that point it was too late to get anything else.
