What is your man’s wedding bands made of? The jeweler kept trying to get us to buy their expensive wedding bands ($700+) but my Fiance has said that he is okay with tugsten/titanium (lol). Has anyone bought an inexpensive wedding band and regretted it? I don’t know anything about men’s bands!

Platinum. Plain band. Same metal as my rings. We wanted the same. Plat has the bonus of not needing redipping like white gold too. We bought our wedding bands when in NYC on holiday from uk. We spent a day in the diamond district and found what we wanted and took cash and bargained. I can’t recall the cost of his but I know it was cheaper than buying the same in the uk so must have been less than £500.

Tungsten. It was $50 on Etsy. If you went to a chain store like Zale’s or Kay’s you’d be paying $200+ for the same ring.

It’s my understanding that tungsten needs to be replaced every 3-5 years. Try visiting a Kay or Zales outlet location if there are any nearby. I was able to get my SO white gold band for $500 instead of around 1k

DH’s band is white gold. It has a bit of a design on it, so that added to the cost because we had to get it at a fancier jewler. We paid about $800.

I can’t remember what metal DH’s band is made from. I think colbolt chrome. DH was much more interested in the design of the ring than the metal. We never felt cheap about it, even though his ring was $350~, much less than my wedding set. He actually gets more compliments on his ring than I do. Mine is very traditional, while his a bit more interesting.
Sort of like this, but a higher metal than stainless steal. https://m.zales.com/triton-mens-comfort-fit-stainless-steel-cable-wedding-band/product.jsp?productId=3448360′ defer=’defer
