Fiance got a 70$ titanium ring from Zales. We weren’t willing to even pay much more than that! I can’t imagine spending over 1,000, yikes.

We were quoted a price of $2,700 for his platinum band at a jewelry store.  I googled the ring and found it for $1,300 at an online retailer – SOLD! 🙂  I love getting a good deal.

7mm palladium band, size 9 with custom fingerprint detailing was about $850.

Shop online, not just at brick and mortar stores. The chain stores tend to be huge ripoffs.

His will be a 3.5mm plain (on the outside) platinum band from David Yurman. It’ll clock in at $1250. Which, given how expensive engagement rings/bridal sets for the ladies are I’m not at all perturbed by.

We also really want our bands to match–it feels symbolic of our couple-dom–so I’ll be getting the same band in 2.5mm.

My Husband’s first ring cost me around $200 with shipping, and it was a piece of crap! He wore is less than 3 months and there were huge chips out of the supposedly strong coating.

His next band which is much nicer than the first cost me $113 with shipping and it holding up wonderfully.

Lesson learned with that one.

@Birdee106:  Love your husbands wedding band, if I saw this when I was buying my husbands band I would have gotten it! Where did you purchase this at?

My husbands band is a tungsten carbide band, I would call it a gunmental color, very manly and simple but still makes a statement, we paid $330 dollars plus tax, and he let me pick his band out since he picked my e-ring out. It was so much fun picking out his band and he said I picked out the perfect ring, exactly what he would have choosen for himself, he is not into bling or fashion. He is a t-shirt, jeans and sneaker kind of guy when he’s not working and listen to heavy metal.
