My Fiance and I have been wedding band shopping for him. (We already know mine will be the band that matches my e-ring from Tiffany’s; he haggled with the manager when he bought my e-ring and got them to give it to me for free if I liked it, which I did! Suprisingly I’m the easy one!) Way before we got engaged, my Fiance told me that when he got married he would wear his wedding band on a chain around his neck. He had a bad cut when he was a kid on the inside of his ring finger that left a lot of scar tissue, and he is afraid it will slip off too easily. He also used to be a volunteer fire fighter and would someday like to do it again, and it would be much safer without a ring. So we decided to get 2 of my wedding band, exact size and style, one for me and one for him to put on a chain. But during the ceremony and the reception, I want to have a ring to put on his finger. So we looked at men’s rings, and he really liked the tungsten ones, but since we are getting an extra ring and chain (both platinum), he said he would just get a titanium one. It’s much cheaper, and we’re on a budget! At first, he said he would never wear the ring on his finger again except for during the wedding, but now he says maybe he’ll wear it for special occasions. Should we go with the tungsten ring that he really wants or just stick with a titanium one? I found some tungsten rings online that are much cheaper than the jewelry store, but I’m worried about what we will get. Has anyone gotten a tungsten or titanium ring before?
