What do you think? I am starting to design a Christmas card for This year, and while I’m not sure whether people will be able to know that I’m pregnant based on our photo, I’m wondering whether we should include something about how our family will be growing in 2015. Or would it be better not to mention it at all, and just send out a birth announcement later?

Miss Mochaccino: I nearly did that last year but found I had lost baby before Christmas. I also found out my friend was expecting in the same way and it was tough. For that reason I’d say no.

Miss Mochaccino: We are planning on doing that. We have a lot of extended family, far-flung, and it’s perfect timing for us. Haven’t decided whether to just be straightforward or use one of those cutesy saying. I’ve seen ones that say “we’ve been naughty” so Darling Husband and I had a great laugh over it. It’s not really us, but I find it hilarious.

Miss Mochaccino: If you are comfortable sharing, it is a timely heads-up if you have any knitters in your family and friends. It gives them time to knit a lovely homemade blanket.
You could mention that next year there wil be another stocking on the mantel.

I think it’s a lovely way to announce it!!

Have you already announced it to the same people on Facebook or something? If not, then I think including it in your Christmas card is an adorable idea.

Our Christmas card says something about “our growing family” and how we can’t wait for our bundle of joy to arrive in 2015. I think it’s perfectly fine to include. And aren’t Christmas cards supposed to update everyone on where you are in life now anyway? I would think including info that you’re pregnant would be expected.
