happyjuju :  You don’t think people who aren’t religious have morals or values? That is the most ignorant thing i’ve ever heard.

sarahparkview :  To answer your question, I don’t know if I’d be “happy” being served your menu, but I’d be fine.  Seeing that it’s an in-between meal, I think your choices are OK but low in protein, which may be fine since it’s not meant to replace a meal.  I try to watch my carbs so I probably wouldn’t eat a lot.  What about adding falafel?

I think it sounds lovely, we’re having a veggie wedding too. 3 slices of pizza and a salad would be fine for me amount wise – are you serving cake as well later?

This is pretty much my absolute ideal meal! The only change i would make is to try to incorporate some protein. I was a vegetarian for 10yrs and still don’t eat much meat so it’s great for me, but most of your guests aren’t going to be used to eating vegetarian. A lot of people don’t feel properly ‘full’ or satisfied if they don’t get a fair amount (even if it’s psychological for some).

A tabouleh made with quinoa and chick peas could be a good option that would fit with the theme. And maybe make the pasta salad a bean & pasta salad. I’d have a pesto based pizza as well to mix it up a bit. A lot of non-vegetarians won’t see the difference between cheese and margherita.

abouttodoit17 :  I didn’t say that, just said I’ve never heard such strong words used about food. most people use words like “views”, eg. I have views about how animals are treated therefore I don’t eat it etc. no ignorance here, I’m a doctor and actually spent much of my day asking people about their diets. I’ve never heard food choices spoken about with such strong words, it sounds ridic and bordering on morally superior to me. xo

happyjuju :  You sound ridiculous.  What’s morally superior is telling people how to phrase their own choices.  Many people see eating meat as a moral issue, why should they have to say “I have views about how animals are treated”? Their view is that it’s immoral.

Love this menu list! I personally would add more varities for the pizza and also a slice fruits would be a good addition.

Love this menu! Would also be great if there were more appetizers – could totally go for some garlic bread/mozz sticks.

People need to realize that they are going to a fun party to celebrate a new marriage–not going out for their last meal.

I honestly think your menu sounds pretty great!  So much better than the typical baked ziti, rubber chicken, and overcooked beef you usually get at weddings.  I would probably swap out the plain cheese for a roasted veggie option, just because you are having the margharita pizza.

I have to disagree with you, OP. I would freaking LOVE pineapple and jalapeno pizza!

If you want to add some protein, what about a chickpea salad? That would suit your theme too!

My only other suggestion would be to consider something lighter for dessert, like maybe a fruit platter?

sarahparkview :  Can you sub a bean or fake meat for one of the pasta salads? For more protein? Also both of your cupcake flavors are a little unusual and neither appelas to me.
