I would include cards that show all the ingredients used in the cakes and other foods. That way if you have guests with allergies they can look through it and choose what’s best for them. (cakes and dessert and not easy for people with gluten or lactose intolerance, an ingredients list is always helpful).
Oh and I agree with coffee! 🙂

i think it sounds awesome but also would suggest adding coffee. you could make it iced coffee if you don’t want to use different cups

As long as there are enough seat I thinki you’ll be fine. I would do a bunch of cocktail tables and a few large rounds as well as long as you have enough space for it.

Everyone has such great comments!
We’ve decided to add:
-Mini Quiches (several dozen- we’re vegetarian (as are most of our guests) so adding a cold cuts plate would be a bit strange!)
-Mini Pitas and Hummus
-Crudites tray with dips
Having the menu cards with all of the ingredients is SUCH a great idea! @mommytobee!
We’ll be doing banquet style seating for everyone and then a few cocktail tables for the younger folks.

It sounds deliscious but is there anything wheat and dairy free? I am allergic to both. Are any of your guests? I hate being allergic to wheat. Cake is my favorite food group 🙁

@secondchances: We’re planning on having ‘special’ cupcakes tucked away for our guests with allergies/dietary preferences. (wheat-free, dairy-free, vegan, paleo).
