- Wedding: August 2014
We’re on a tight budget and going with a fun, laidback feel for our wedding. It’s being held at a beautiful local park with an enclosed banquet pavilion, and we want to hire a popular local grilling company that cooks onsite for our catering.
So I’m wondering, if you were a guest at my wedding, would you be satisfied with this menu?
-Grilled chicken 1/4’s marinated in vinegar, garlic, salt and spices
-Charcoal roasted flank steak sliced at buffet
-Garlic smashed potatoes
-Green salad with tomatoes, spinach, cucumbers, onions, carrots, croutons and two types of dressing
-Grilled marinated vegetables: onions, portabello mushrooms, zucchini strips, summer squash, eggplant
-Dinner rolls and two types of butter (whipped and cinammon)
-Dessert: assorted cookies, mini cream puffs, turnovers, brownies, baklava
In addition, we’ll be getting simple party trays for the cocktail hour: fruit/cheese trays and crudites. And of course, we’ll have a yummy wedding cake.
I feel like this is plenty of food that would cover most bases, but I’m a nonpicky eater (aka, I’ll eat pretty much anything…hehe) with no dietary restrictions so I want a second opinion from the Bee just in case. So let me know what you think! Anything missing? Thanks, everyone!
